Trip Moments Recommendations
Conveniently Located and Affordable Hotel in Macau Peninsula | Emperor Hotel.
The hotel is located opposite the StarWorld Hotel on the Macau Peninsula, just a three-minute walk to Wynn, which is very convenient.😍 This is our first stay and they upgraded us to a Business Executive King Room. The room is spacious, and although it's not particularly new, it's very clean.
🛏️ The double bed is big enough, but the mattress is not very soft. There are two types of pillows with different firmness.🛁 The bathroom has a bathtub with sufficient water pressure, and the amenities are very complete, including conditioner and body lotion.👍🏻 There is also a hairdryer, an electric kettle, and a mini-fridge.
The buffet breakfast is served on the first floor at the Emperor Court. The dining area is spacious but the variety of food is not extensive and is rather average. I would not recommend adding it on.

Personal Experience with the Grand Lisboa Macau Buffet Breakfast.
I had previously visited the San Gor Cafe at the Grand Lisboa Hotel for a buffet breakfast. The place is quite spacious, and it features old-style tea restaurant signs that attract visitors to come and take photos for memories. Additionally, there is a variety of distinctive foods available, such as sausages, steamed buns, tea eggs, si zhu yang nan, fried rice, and century egg with lean pork congee, among other different foods. Among the many options, most of the food tastes good, and in particular, the tea eggs and si zhu yang nan are ones that I think are worth recommending. The tea eggs are very flavorful and delicious, while the si zhu and yang nan are very well made, and the mutton is not too tough to eat.
As for improvements, the steamed buns could be better because they are too dry and the meat flavor is too bland. Aside from the issues mentioned, the taste of the other foods is mostly good, and the staff have a good attitude and provide serious service. I hope to have the chance to visit this hotel again to enjoy the buffet.
My Experience at Studio City Macau Hotel's Buffet Lunch.
I visited Studio City Macau Hotel with my mother for a buffet lunch on April 22nd. The place is vast and was bustling with people when we arrived. They offer a variety of food such as barbecued meats (roast pork, soy chicken), abalone seafood congee, dim sum (siu mai, shrimp dumplings, chicken feet, etc.), scallops, teppanyaki, grilled steak, and other diverse food options. Among the abundant selection, the abalone seafood congee and dim sum (siu mai, shrimp dumplings) are particularly recommendable. The abalone is chewy and fresh, making the congee a delightful dish, and the seafood, including the sweet and tasty garoupa, is generously portioned. The siu mai and shrimp dumplings are also worth mentioning; they have the perfect thickness of the wrapper, not too thick or thin, and the shrimp in the dumplings are crunchy and delicious. The siu mai has a strong shrimp flavor, and the pork is tender and tasty. As for the roast pork and soy chicken, they are recommended because the roast pork has a crispy skin and a rich flavor, while the soy chicken is flavorful and silky smooth.
As for the food that could be improved, I believe the grilled steak needs attention as it was too dry and tough, not very enjoyable to eat. Aside from that, the taste of the other dishes was mostly good. Moreover, the staff were friendly and polite. Additionally, spending just over three hundred dollars to enjoy such a lavish buffet in Macau is a good choice. I hope to have the opportunity to dine here again.
Longhua Station Affordable Convenience Hotel | Yaxi Hotel.
Although it's not very close to Longhua Metro Station, a straight road leads to One City Shopping Mall, and there are several affordable eateries downstairs that offer late-night snacks👍🏻. The hotel's average cost per person is around $150, which is reasonable for the price.
The decoration of the hotel lobby and corridors is average, but the room decor is relatively clean and tidy. The soundproofing is not very good🛌. The beds are large and comfortable🚿. The shower pressure is sufficient. The usual bathroom amenities and slippers are provided🧴. There's no conditioner, but a hairdryer, kettle, and two bottles of water are available🫗. The hotel has wifi.

North Point Delights: A Richly Flavored Singaporean Cuisine Restaurant.
Kaya is a Singaporean cuisine restaurant🇸🇬, and this time we ordered the Singaporean Laksa Chan Chan and Street Chicken and Duck Shredded Soup Noodles🍜 from the set menu, which also included drinks. We chose the Lemongrass Lime Lychee Soda and Tangerine Plum Ice, and also added an Avocado Rainbow Rice Paper Roll as a snack🥑.
The Singaporean Laksa Chan Chan is richly aromatic with just the right level of spiciness. Its most distinctive feature is the mix of 'two types' of noodles, oil noodles and rice vermicelli, adding texture and showcasing the unique flavors of Singaporean cuisine that leave a lasting impression🥰. The Street Chicken and Duck Shredded Soup Noodles have a lighter but delicious broth, paired with tender chicken and shredded duck, offering a rich and robust taste😋.
The Avocado Rainbow Rice Paper Roll is a vegetarian snack, with rice paper wrapping fresh avocado and vegetables🥒🥑, very tasty and texturally diverse. As for the drinks, the Lemongrass Lime Lychee Soda and Tangerine Plum Ice are quite distinctive choices, perfect to accompany spicy dishes🍹.

【Admiralty】Lady M: Open Space to Enjoy Coffee and Cake
Lady M has branches in many places, and a pop-up store at Pacific Place in Admiralty has also opened recently. Many people have tasted their exquisite cakes🍰, but their coffee and other beverages are also outstanding. The Latte I ordered this time had a rich coffee aroma☕️, not overly bitter, and very balanced. The texture of the milk foam was very fine, adding a rich taste to the coffee😋.
This branch is located in the central area of Pacific Place, with a simple and modern decor. Although there are not many seats, the space between seats is spacious, allowing customers to sit down and enjoy the cakes and drinks🥰.

【Tsim Sha Tsui】Gather Hot Pot & Tea Break: Taiwanese Cuisine Set Meal, Perfect for a Quick Lunch.
Gather Hot Pot has been opening more and more branches, and many people have tried their hot pot🥘, but it seems not many know about their lunch set meals, which are perfect for those with limited time for lunch🤩.
The set includes a choice of a set meal or noodles, plus a drink and side dishes. This time, I ordered the crispy chicken rice set meal, and also chose two appetizers - lychee shrimp balls and black tiger shrimp rolls. For the drink, I had the Tieguanyin milk tea🧋. If you order a hot drink, it comes in a teapot, and the pearls are also inside the teapot, so be careful with the amount when pouring.
The crispy chicken was perfectly fried to be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, maintaining the juiciness of the meat while having a crunchy texture🍗. Paired with the fragrant meat sauce rice, it was exceptional. The lychee shrimp balls, although they look a bit like lychees, do not actually contain lychee, but they have a crispy and delicious texture, making them a great appetizer choice😋. The black tiger shrimp rolls were also a pleasant surprise, with the shrimp wrapped in a crispy shell🍤, fried to a golden color, highly recommended.
In addition to the lunch set meal, you can also opt for all-you-can-eat fruit during the lunch period if interested.

【Sheung Wan】Silver Mine Bake: A Popular Branch of Mui Wo Mochi King.
When you pass by the Sheung Wan branch of Mui Wo Mochi King—Silver Mine Bake, the name includes Silver Mine Bay from Mui Wo🌅. In addition to its convenient location, which allows mochi fans to enjoy without traveling far to Mui Wo, the Sheung Wan branch also has its own workshop, offering freshly made mochi at specific times every day😋.
I tried four flavors this time: original, pork floss, cheese, and chocolate. The original flavor has a soft exterior and a chewy heart, truly representing the traditional taste🥰. The pork floss flavor is surprisingly delightful, with the salty pork floss wrapped inside, creating an interesting contrast with the sweet exterior🤩.
The cheese mochi combines traditional and modern tastes, filled with cheese that spreads its rich flavor in your mouth as you bite down, intoxicating the senses🧀. The chocolate flavor is the most surprising; the aroma and sweetness of the chocolate burst in your mouth upon biting, irresistible🍫.

Peng Chau: A Calm and Relaxing Island Day Trip.
Peng Chau is about a 30-40 minute ferry ride⛴️ from the city. Due to its small size, there are fewer tourists and residents compared to other outlying islands, giving the whole island a calm and relaxing atmosphere😌.
The main activity this time was hiking, starting from the pier along the sea, climbing up Finger Hill⛰️, with the endpoint being the East Bay Beach of Peng Chau🏝️. From the summit, one can gaze at the beautiful scenery of the nearby islands and the sight of fishing boats. Although the path has many stone steps, most of it is concrete, suitable for beginners. Following the hiking trail, one can reach East Bay Beach, where you can enjoy the sea breeze and experience the rare tranquility🥰.
After descending the hill, you can visit the island's unique restaurants and shops. This time, we visited the traditional cafe with over 40 years of history—Kee Sum Cafe, and ordered their most famous shrimp toast🍤 and red bean ice milk tea🧋. The shrimp toast lived up to its reputation. The outer layer of bread was fried to a crispy perfection, while the inside was filled with fresh and juicy large shrimp. With each bite, the sweetness of the shrimp and the aroma of the bread intertwined in the mouth, leaving a lasting impression😋.
The red bean ice milk tea is also one of their signatures, with a rich aroma of milk and tea, as well as the sweet taste of red beans, each sip made me feel the coolness and rich fragrance, especially refreshing and pleasant after hiking😎.
⛴️Transportation: Take the ferry from Central Pier No. 6, with the ordinary ferry taking 40 minutes and the fast ferry taking 30 minutes.

【Wan Chai】Viet. Male: Vietnamese Cuisine Combo Set, a variety of Vietnamese flavors to choose from.
During lunchtime, we visited the Vietnamese restaurant 'Viet. Male' in Wan Chai. We ordered two combo sets, which included a main course, appetizer, and drink🤩. For the main courses, we had the Hoi An raw beef noodle soup🍜 and lemongrass pork chop with noodles. For appetizers, we chose the butter chicken wings and Vietnamese spring rolls, and for drinks, we had coconut water🥥.
My friend's Hoi An raw beef noodle soup had tender beef🥩, and the broth was darker and more flavorful than the usual Vietnamese noodle soup. My lemongrass pork chop with noodles, served with fish sauce, was sour and refreshing, which greatly increased my appetite😋.
The Vietnamese spring rolls were crispy and delicious, paired with a refreshing dipping sauce. The butter chicken wings were average, but still had a crispy exterior and were tender and juicy inside😌.
Note that the restaurant doesn't have many seats, so you might have to share a table during busy times. Fortunately, the restaurant uses QR code ordering, which allows for direct electronic payment, saving time and adding convenience👍.

【Tsim Sha Tsui】Ajitei Izakaya: Reasonably Priced and Diverse Lunch Sets.
Located in Tsim Sha Tsui, Ajitei Izakaya offers lunch sets that are reasonably priced🤑, with a wide variety of choices. This time, I ordered the beef sukiyaki🥩 and the pork katsu don🐷, and added two side dishes, mentaiko chicken wings and gyoza. Each set also comes with chawanmushi, miso soup, and salad, making it a great value🤩.
The beef in the sukiyaki was tender and the udon noodles soaked up the delicious flavors of the beef and the special sauce🍜, making it irresistible. The pork katsu don was crispy and paired perfectly with the tartar sauce, leaving me satisfied😋. The mentaiko chicken wings had a crispy exterior with a slightly spicy filling, very appetizing. The gyoza were standard fare, crispy on the outside without being too hard.

Experience Another Side of Hong Kong's Bustling City
Every weekend, I really enjoy wandering around the city from Sai Ying Pun to Central and Sheung Wan. During the holidays, unlike the busy workdays, there are fewer people around, and there are quite a few foreigners, making it feel very leisurely.
Short-distance route recommendation: Walk from the Central MTR station exit to the Central-Mid-Levels Escalator and go to Tai Kwun (the renovated former Central Police Station) for a visit or a drink. Then you will pass through the SoHo area and old-style tea houses like Lin Heung Kui/Luen Hing Restaurant, where you can sit down for a cup of tea and try some local dim sum. After resting, you can follow the stairs to the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Museum and the famous Ladder Street for a photo op. Then visit PMQ for some local arts and culture, and finally, go to the Man Mo Temple, a popular filming location for many movies, to experience the essence of Chinese culture before leaving from the Sheung Wan MTR station.
Address - Around Central and Sheung Wan
Environment - Comfortable and leisurely
Facilities - Tai Kwun, PMQ, Dr. Sun Yat-sen Museum, etc.
Average Price - Scenic spots along the way are free

There is a kind of romance called Fenghuang Ancient Town.
Fenghuang Ancient Town, a short stay of one or two days. During the day, it is a pure, authentic, and natural ancient town. On rainy days, it transforms into a scene reminiscent of the south of the Yangtze River, with a hazy atmosphere of azure waiting for the misty rain. Walking on the cobblestone streets, with the Tuo River's mist dancing, the foggy bridges barely visible, the sound of the wind, the pitter-patter, and the sound of birds landing, all can be deeply felt. You watch the scenery from the bridge, you observe from across the river, and perhaps at some moment, I, in a small corner, also become a part of the scenery in their eyes! The inner peace and serenity, the feeling I've always hoped to find, has finally settled into my heart!

Mr. Wei, the owner, is a master of Huaiyang cuisine, and his restaurant is located in an old building on Laomendong ancient street.
The decoration reveals a modern Republic of China style, fashionable and atmospheric yet simple and elegant. The menu design also has a strong Jinling cultural feel, and the tableware is very exquisite.
Recommendations:
Keqing Yam and Jujube Paste Cake
The dessert is Suzhou-style: a yam cake. It retains the original flavor of the yam, uses an auspicious shape, and is a free pre-meal snack. If you find it delicious, you can order it for takeaway; it's worth taking away.
Nanjing Roast Duck
The roast duck's skin is jujube-red, perfectly crispy, and melts in your mouth. The meat is tender and juicy, lean but not dry, indicating that the duck embryos are fresh from the same day. The size of the duck is just right, and the skin is also very good.
Yuhua Tea Shrimp Balls
The fried large shrimp balls are coated with mayonnaise made from green tea and wasabi. It's said to be one of the Jinling Twelve Dishes, a creative dish by Chef Wei, and it tastes crispy, fresh, and sweet.

【Macau】Fisherman's Wharf: A hotspot for checking in through exotic streets.
Macau Fisherman's Wharf is conveniently located near the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal 😌. Many tourists are attracted by its classical and magnificent architecture to check in 📸.
The most famous is definitely the historic Roman Colosseum, which gives a sense of ancient Roman civilization and unique cultural charm 🤩. In addition to various exotic buildings, Fisherman's Wharf also has a variety of restaurants with different flavors 🍽️, providing a place for tourists to rest. We went to a restaurant by the sea, enjoying the sunset view 🌅 while tasting the special Thai cuisine.

Shanghai Accommodation - A Little Jiangnan Residence in Zhujiajiao.
I visited Shanghai for five days in March, and on the first day, I headed to the Jiangnan small town - Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, which is a scenic spot on the outskirts. From Pudong Airport to Hongqiao Airport, you can take a direct bus for ¥36 per person, and it takes about an hour to get there, which is very convenient.
🚇Transportation: Close to Hongqiao Airport, you can take the subway directly to Zhujiajiao Station from Hongqiao Railway Station, and then call a car with Didi to the guesthouse. However, the guesthouse is located in a small alley among residential buildings, which is quite hard to find and easy to get lost in, but it is very close to the surrounding attractions, about a ten-minute walk to Fangsheng Bridge.
🤵🏻Service: There is no front desk service, and there is a phone number at the door. You need to contact the homeowner yourself, which can be a bit inconvenient. Foreign travelers usually do not have a mainland number, and I really don't know how they would contact the homeowner.
🏠Room: A delicate one-bedroom suite with a river-view terrace HK$870.97 per night (original price)
😄The area is quite large, with two floors. The upper floor has a large double bed, a large TV (but you can't watch programs, 😨completely useless) and a small window desk. The lower floor has two halls, one with a four-person mahjong table near the entrance, and the other with a sofa and coffee table near the terrace, equipped with large square glass windows, overlooking the terrace and riverside. 👍The best part is the terrace view, 😍where you can enjoy the view of the small houses across the river, reminiscent of Tai O in Hong Kong.
❌The biggest drawback, which is also quite unbearable 💢, is that there is no 🚫hot water when showering, only lukewarm water. No matter how much my friend and I twisted the knobs and turned on all the power, the water was still not hot enough, and the water pressure was very weak 😭. On a night with only 8 degrees, we felt like we were freezing 🥶while showering, ☹️almost getting sick from the cold. Because of this drawback, 😫I would not stay again, nor would I recommend it. Fortunately, I stayed at half price, otherwise, it would not be worth the original price. Additionally, there are many guesthouses with a similar style in the vicinity, with many options, and most of them are available for same-day check-in.

Shanghai Zhujiajiao - A Dumpling Breakfast with Plenty to Offer.
Honestly, there aren't many types of food sold in this scenic area, mostly the same old grandma's rice dumplings. The scenery is quite similar, so I suggest that half a day is enough for a visit.
🚇Location: Next to the ancient town's Tangyuan shop.
🏠Environment: The decoration of the wonton and noodle shops are pretty much the same.
🤵🏻Service: QR Code/manual ordering, no service charge added.
🍽️Breakfast: 🥟Mushroom🍄 Pork Giant Wontons ¥25
The wontons are large, with evenly distributed filling. The mushroom flavor isn't too strong, offering a satisfying yet typical taste.
🥟Dry Mixed 🥬Shepherd's Purse Giant Wontons ¥18
The staff recommended the dry mixed eating method, which uses their homemade soy sauce with a hint of 🥜peanut butter aroma. It's not spicy at all, and the filling is shepherd's purse and pork, with a very even ratio. Quite good.
😖However, after having wontons for two consecutive days, we got a bit tired of them😩 and decided that we definitely won't eat wontons again for a while😂.

Experience Different Sports - The 67th Sports Festival Carnival
The Easter holiday is coming to an end, and of course, we must seize the opportunity to have fun! My friend Heng Heng and I took the lead in experiencing different sports at the '67th Sports Festival Carnival' and attended the '67th Sports Festival Opening Ceremony'. This year's theme is 'Energize the City, Family Fun Together'.
The '67th Sports Festival Carnival' will continue at D·PARK Discovery Park on April 6th to 7th (Saturday to Sunday)! There are different sports tryouts, performances, and demonstrations, such as skating⛸️, fencing🤺, soccer⚽️, table tennis🏓, lacrosse🥍, frisbee, and more. Many of these sports I have never played before, so I can take this opportunity to experience them. It's suitable for both adults and children!
After playing each game, you can get a stamp, and once you collect 6 stamps, you can exchange them for a souvenir🎁.
The 67th Sports Festival will hold over 60 sports events across all districts in Hong Kong from April to August, dedicated to promoting 'Sport for All'! Remember to stay tuned for the latest news of the Sports Festival and enjoy the fun of sports!
APM Shopping Mall 'Spring Playground·City Stroll'
Recently, apm has collaborated with the popular Korean illustrators Pink Rabbit and Vanilla Bear 'Pink & Ven', to create a theme of 'Spring Playground·City Stroll', setting up a playground that spans over 2,000 square feet.
The playground features a fun and adorable style, interpreting various Hong Kong characteristic spots, including the Tsing Ma Bridge, the Clock Tower at Star Ferry Pier, the Ferris wheel, ice cream trucks, and more, all filled with the unique charm of Hong Kong. It really gives a warm and familiar feeling, making it irresistible not to take photos at different spots.
The event will end at the end of May, so if you happen to visit apm, don't miss out.
