Some of my favourite areas to be found in this city are the streets adjacent to The Bund, East Nanjing Road and the Huangpu River 🌇 people are often drawn in by the European-style architecture to be found along East Zhongshan Road but what hides behind is even more special🫶🏻
Hidden amidst the bustling skyscrapers and neon lights of Shanghai’s Huangpu district lie enchanting backstreets waiting to be explored. Wandering through these narrow lanes is like stepping into a time capsule, where traditional Shanghainese architecture and local life converge. Here, you’ll find quaint tea houses tucked away in century-old buildings, their red lanterns gently swaying in the breeze 📌🏮
