Sintra + Regaleira (day trip from Lisbon) 🇵🇹 with dos and don’ts 😉
#cherryblossom2024
This place is certainly a must go if you are in Lisbon. It’s really close and beautiful. A day trip is enough to see everything.
🚗 My suggestion is to get a group/private tour that pick you up in the city and show you around Sintra.
It’s more convenient and you don’t need to find a parking lot, so it’s way less stressful. 🚫
Choose a tour that includes the palace and the regaleira, they are both in Sintra, but different places.
👑 The palace is where the king used to spend his summer, and later on became his official house (but I won’t give spoilers, you just and learn by yourself).
🪴 The Regaleira is a private garden with many mystical stories, inverted towers and tree species from all over the world (but again, you just visit to truly understand the mystery behind his place).
🍩 Finally, the tour guys will certainly bring you to the village, where you can try some sweets that were invented originally there. The most popular shop is the Periquita.
🍫Also try the Ginga in the chocolate cup.
⛔️My tour also included a fast visit to Cascais, but I don’t recommend it, the visit is too fast and you cannot really enjoy your time there. So If you can, skip it 😉

Why visit the Wild Goose Pagoda
#cherryblossom2024
The seven story pagoda is more than 1.300 years old. It was the first one not made of wood, in order to avoid being destroyed by fire.
For an additional fee of 25 yuan you can go inside and walk up to the top floor. The entrance to the square where the pagoda is located is 30 yuan. So the total cost is 55$.
After entering the pagoda itself there is a small store selling keychains with the Chinese zodiac sign in pagoda motives. They are beautiful and cost 15 yuan each. A got a few for my family and friends. They come in bags that are even cuter.
The square itself is a very peaceful place, with beautiful flowers and some nice gardens.
There are also some stores to rent a traditional Chinese dress and make graceful photos. I didn’t do it, you may want to.

Full day at glass bridge in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon
#cherryblossom2024
Apart from its main star (the glass bridge), the Grand Canyon offers several activities at additional costs. Such as outdoor bouldering, zip line, slide, boat ride and the hike/walk along the river. All activities ranging from 10 to 50 yuen. There are some more expensive such as bungy jump, but you gotta have guts for that 😅
The views are breathtaking, and besides the glass bridge itself there is an additional glass sidewalk by the mountain.
It’s really worth it 🤩🤩🤩
If you are going to visit the avatar mountains, also pay a visit to this place!

😍 2 perfect days itinerary in Zhangjiajie National Park (Avatar mountains) 🩵 route recommendation
#cherryblossom2024
Zhangjiajie National Park is beautiful and really worth it a visit, but it can be a bit confusing to understand where to go and what is the best way to do the most of your visit.
Here is the itinerary for 2 days visit. Which is pretty enough to see everything ❣️
Day 1 ❗️
Visiting 3 mountains ⛰️ ⛰️ ⛰️
(all views from above)
⛰️ Mountain 1: YuanJiaJie
Get the shuttle bus to Bailong Elevator (it takes 10 min)
- Hike or take the Bailong elevator to the top of YuanJiaJie mountain 🛗
- Walk around the mountain to see the avatar mountains. You will see the Heaven Pillar and pass the number 1 bridge in the world (a natural rock bridge linking two mountains)
⛰️ Mountain 2: YangJiaJie
From the first mountain get another shuttle bus to YangJiaJie mountain (it takes 10 min).
- this mountain doesn’t offer much to do or any nice views, this is the stop to change to the shuttle bus to Tianzi mountain. There is also a cable car here, if you are already tired and want to go to the entrance and leave.
⛰️ Mountain 3: Tianzi Mountain
From the second mountain get another shuttle bus to Tianzi Mountain (it takes 30 minutes)
- at this mountain you will have great views of the avatar mountains. There is a beautiful temple to explore and a big food court. 🍜🥮🍡🍤
- after exploring around, you have two options to go down: cable car + shuttle bus or hike + train + shuttle bus 🚌
Day 2 ‼️
Visit 1 mountain ⛰️ + hike 🥾
(Views from below and above)
- At the entrance get a shuttle bus to Bailong Elevator
🥾 follow the signs to Golden Whip River 💦, the hike along the river takes about 2 hours, but is flat all the way. Here you’ll have views from below 🔼
🚌 When you get at the end of the path, get the shuttle bus to HuangShiZhai cable car.
🚠 buy the round trip
⛰️ once at the top of the HuangShiZhai mountain walk around it until you reach the point where you started, it’s gonna take around 1.5 hours, with magnificent views 🥰
To go down get the cable car back, then the shuttle bus to the entrance.
🤑 Prices
Entrance 248 yuan (entrance + all shuttle buses)
Bailong elevator 65 yuan (one way)
Cable cars varies from 65 to 72 (one way)
The round trip is double price, there is no deal for taking the round way, so it’s not recommended ❗️
✨ extra tip ✨
If you want to take the Bailong Elevator, skip the first elevator lines, and go straight to the Bailong line.
Yes, there is an elevator to get the elevator (if you are taking it to go up). But it’s really faster just take the stairs to go to the line to Bailong elevator. It’s only a couple of stairs and you will save a lot of time 😉

Great golden buddha at Wat Pak Nam🇹🇭
#songkran2024
The Buddha statue's full name is Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen, situated in the Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen temple. Since the statue stands at an impressive 64 meters tall, for a panoramic view from a distance, we suggest these two spots:
📷 Check out Figures 1 and 3: Talatphlu amanwa, a cozy cafe with delightful coffee and pastries. Grab a cup of coffee, head up to the rooftop, and enjoy the view of the Buddha.
📷 As for Figure 2: There's a tricky-to-find alleyway leading to the riverbank, tucked away in a residential area, as indicated on the map "My Location."
‼️ I hopped off at BTS Talat Phlu station and strolled over, but the distance was still quite a trek. It would take around 20 minutes on foot to reach the cafe.

Is Shufu Lei, who waited in line for an hour with the view of Mount Fuji, really worth it?
This Shufulei is good, sweeter than the Happy Muffin family, but it can't withstand the view of Mount Fuji! Very stubborn!
🕕Time: It closed at 15:30 in the afternoon, be sure to keep an eye on the time, otherwise it will run empty.
🏩 Nearby attractions include Qianniaohan and the place to take photos of White Swan 2, which can be reached by walking, but swans may not always be available
👫 Queuing order:
Write your name on the list (as well as the location you want to wait outside or indoors) → Wait for a call → After sitting down, you can't change your seat anymore. It all depends on luck where you sit.
A guest later said: wait for the indoor position for 60 minutes and the outdoor position for 80 minutes. It's also too cold outside these days. It's recommended to sit indoors instead.
If you haven't been here before, you can still wait. Sitting and waiting in front of Mount Fuji is also very enjoyable.

Magical Marrakech: A City of Color and Contrast
Marrakech, a vibrant city in western Morocco, is a sensory overload of sights, sounds, and smells. Famous for its bustling souks, stunning palaces, and vibrant gardens, Marrakech blends the traditional with the contemporary, offering visitors a glimpse into Morocco's heart and soul.
What to Expect
Upon entering Marrakech, you are met with the vibrant chaos of Jemaa el-Fnaa, the central square and marketplace. By day, it’s a hub of snake charmers, henna artists, and juice stalls; by night, it transforms into a lively scene of street food vendors. Surrounding the square are the winding alleys of the souks, where the air is perfumed with spices and the colorful displays of textiles, pottery, and jewelry dazzle the eye.
Experiences and Recommendations
Visiting the historic Koutoubia Mosque, with its towering minaret, provides a focal point in the city’s skyline, though non-Muslims cannot enter. The Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs offer insights into the opulent lifestyles of Morocco's former sultans with their intricate tile work and lush gardens. For a peaceful escape from the city buzz, the Majorelle Garden, restored by Yves Saint Laurent, is a sanctuary of calm and vibrant colors.
Tips and Tricks
Navigating Marrakech can be overwhelming; consider hiring a local guide for your first day to help orient yourself and learn about the city's rich history. Bargaining is expected in the souks, so be prepared to haggle to get the best prices. Dress modestly to respect the local culture, especially when visiting religious or traditional sites.
Personal Reflections
Exploring the alleys of Marrakech’s souks was like walking through a living tapestry of Moroccan culture—each turn offered new smells, sights, and sounds. The highlight of my visit was sipping mint tea on a rooftop café, overlooking the bustling square below as the sunset painted the city in golden hues.
Marrakech is a city that captivates with its ancient architecture, frenetic marketplaces, and lush gardens. It offers a unique blend of history, culture, and artistry that beckons travelers looking for an immersive experience into Moroccan life.

Tranquil Tromsø 🌌
Tromsø, located well above the Arctic Circle in Norway, is a city known not only for its vibrant cultural life and historic Arctic expeditions but also as one of the best places in the world to witness the mesmerizing Northern Lights. Surrounded by mountainous landscapes and fjords, Tromsø offers a unique blend of outdoor activities and a lively urban scene.
Begin your adventure by exploring the city center, which is characterized by charming old wooden houses mixed with modern architecture. The iconic Arctic Cathedral, with its distinctive peaked roof and large stained-glass window, is a must-see. It serves as a beacon for the city, especially when lit up against the polar night's dark sky.
Tromsø is one of the best places to see the Northern Lights, and the aurora season, which runs from September to March, attracts visitors from around the world. Numerous tour operators offer guided tours that take you away from city lights to places where the chances of spotting the aurora are higher. Experiencing the Northern Lights dancing across the sky in a spectrum of green and purple is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
During the day, embrace the great outdoors by going on a dog sledding adventure, where you can mush your own team of huskies across the snowy landscape. Alternatively, a cable car ride up to the Storsteinen Mountain provides stunning panoramic views of Tromsø and the surrounding fjords.
Don't miss the opportunity to learn more about the region's Sami culture. Several experiences allow you to meet Sami guides, learn about their traditions, and even feed a herd of reindeer. These cultural encounters offer insight into the indigenous people's way of life in the Arctic.
Despite its northern latitude, Tromsø is surprisingly accessible with a lively nightlife and a range of dining options that include local delicacies like reindeer and fresh seafood. The city also hosts several festivals throughout the year, celebrating everything from film to music, often with an Arctic twist.
Visiting Tromsø during the winter months not only offers the magical aurora but also the experience of the polar night when the sun does not rise above the horizon, creating a unique twilight atmosphere during the day.

Discovering Denali National Park
Denali National Park, located in interior Alaska, is a pristine wilderness that spans across six million acres of rugged terrain, encompassing tundra, forests, and glaciers. Centered around Denali, North America's highest peak, this national park offers a raw and captivating glimpse into untouched landscapes and a thriving ecosystem home to grizzly bears, wolves, caribou, and moose.
What to Expect
Visitors to Denali National Park are often struck by the sheer scale and natural beauty of the area. The park offers a variety of ways to explore its vastness, including bus tours on the park's only road, which provide opportunities for wildlife viewing and spectacular scenery. Hiking, mountaineering, and camping are popular activities, with trails ranging from easy footpaths to challenging backcountry adventures.
Experiences and Recommendations
A bus tour into the park is highly recommended, as personal vehicle access is limited. These tours can help you spot wildlife and reach deeper parts of the park safely. For a unique perspective, flightseeing tours offer aerial views of Denali and the Alaskan range, providing a breathtaking experience of the park's grandeur. Hiking the Horseshoe Lake Trail and visiting the Eielson Visitor Center, which offers incredible views of Denali on clear days, are great ways to immerse yourself in the natural environment.
Tips and Tricks
The best times to visit are during the summer months from June to early September when the weather is milder, and the park is fully accessible. Dressing in layers is essential, as temperatures can vary dramatically. Bear safety is critical in Denali; always carry bear spray and store food properly. Booking accommodations and tours well in advance is recommended, especially during peak season.
Personal Reflections
Witnessing the unbridled majesty of Denali rising above the horizon was a profoundly humbling experience. The quietude of the park, broken only by the call of distant wildlife or the rustling of leaves, created a sense of solitude and connection with nature that's increasingly rare in today's fast-paced world.
For adventurers and nature lovers alike, Denali National Park offers a chance to test your limits and explore one of the last great wild places. It’s an adventure that promises not only breathtaking views and encounters with wildlife but also a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

Captivating Cappadocia
Cappadocia, located in the central Anatolian region of Turkey, is an ethereal landscape famed for its unique geological formations known as fairy chimneys, ancient cave dwellings carved into the rocks, and its historical significance that dates back to the Hittites. Today, it is a magical destination that captures the imagination of travelers with its otherworldly scenes and rich cultural heritage.
What to Expect
Visitors to Cappadocia can explore a network of ancient underground cities, such as Derinkuyu and Kaymakli, which served as refuges for early Christians. The open-air museum of Göreme showcases a cluster of rock-cut churches, with beautiful frescoes inside that tell stories of early Christian saints and martyrs. The landscape is dotted with distinctive fairy chimneys and vast, undulating valleys like Pasabag and Devrent, where nature has sculpted the rocks into spectacular shapes.
Experiences and Recommendations
A hot air balloon ride at sunrise is an iconic Cappadocia experience, offering unparalleled views of the valley as it fills with dozens of colorful balloons. For the adventurous, hiking in the Rose Valley or Love Valley provides close encounters with the region’s natural beauty and opportunities for spectacular photography. Staying in a cave hotel is also a must; these hotels offer modern comforts while preserving the ambiance of ancient dwellings.
Tips and Tricks
The best times to visit Cappadocia are during the spring (April to June) and fall (September to November) when the weather is temperate and the landscapes are most vibrant. Wear comfortable shoes as the terrain can be rocky and uneven. It’s also advisable to carry water and sun protection, especially when hiking the valleys. Make reservations for hot air balloon flights well in advance, as they are extremely popular and can book up quickly.
Personal Reflections
Waking up early for the hot air balloon ride was well worth the effort. Floating silently over the surreal landscape as the sun illuminated the valleys was a truly magical experience. The sense of peace and timelessness was profound, as if the modern world had momentarily paused.
For anyone with a love of nature, history, and unique geological features, Cappadocia offers a journey into a land of wonder. It's a place where every turn reveals new marvels, rooted in both the past and the spectacular forces of nature.

Quaint Quebec City 🍁
Quebec City, the heart of French Canada, stands as a beacon of European charm in North America. Its well-preserved historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site, beckons with winding cobblestone streets, picturesque plazas, and a vibrant cultural tapestry that reflects its deep Francophone roots.
Begin your exploration in Old Quebec, where the iconic Château Frontenac hotel dominates the skyline. Wander through the narrow lanes of the Petit Champlain district, arguably one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in North America, with its quaint boutiques and bistros.
Step back in time with a walk along the fortified city walls that encircle Old Quebec. These are the only remaining fortified city walls in North America and provide a unique glimpse into the city's military past. Just outside the walls, the Plains of Abraham offer a scenic green space where key historical battles once took place.
The culinary scene in Quebec City is a delight, emphasizing local ingredients and French gastronomy. Be sure to try traditional dishes such as poutine, made with French fries, cheese curds, and gravy, or tourtière, a savory meat pie that epitomizes Quebecois cuisine.

Next, explore the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, which lies on the eastern slopes of the mountain and showcases some of South Africa's unique flora in a stunning setting.

Back on the mainland, the colorful houses of the Bo-Kaap neighborhood offer a vivid backdrop for understanding the city's multicultural roots, including its Cape Malay community.

Tranquil Tasmania
Tasmania, often referred to as the natural state of Australia, is an island of rugged wilderness, pristine beaches, and lush vineyards. This relatively untouched part of the world offers a serene escape with its rich history, unique wildlife, and vibrant local food and wine scene.
Start your Tasmanian adventure in Hobart, the island's capital, which combines colonial charm with a modern lifestyle. The city is famous for its bustling Salamanca Market, where you can find local crafts, fresh produce, and gourmet treats every Saturday. Not far from the city center, the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) offers an avant-garde experience that challenges traditional museum concepts with its underground architecture and provocative exhibits.
Venture outside Hobart to explore Tasmania’s natural wonders. The Freycinet National Park is home to the iconic Wineglass Bay, with its crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches, making it a perfect spot for hiking and kayaking. Meanwhile, the wild and remote west coast offers the rugged beauty of the Tarkine wilderness, where dense rainforests meet the roaring ocean.
Wildlife enthusiasts will love the unique opportunities to see endemic species like the Tasmanian devil, echidnas, and the elusive platypus. Tasmania’s clean and cool climate also makes it an ideal location for wine production, especially pinot noir and chardonnay. Visiting local vineyards to sample these wines is a must-do.
For the best experience, visit Tasmania during the Australian summer (December to February) when the weather is most favorable for outdoor activities. However, if you prefer quieter times, the shoulder seasons of spring and autumn also offer beautiful scenery with fewer visitors.
Tasmania’s combination of natural beauty, rich history, and thriving local culture makes it a must-visit for those seeking a tranquil but engaging travel experience.

Serene Seclusion in the Azores
The Azores, a cluster of nine volcanic islands in the mid-Atlantic, is Portugal's best-kept secret, offering lush landscapes, vibrant marine life, and a tranquil escape from the hustle of modern life. Known for their dramatic scenery, friendly locals, and rich maritime history, the Azores are a haven for nature lovers and adventurers alike.
What to Expect
Each island in the Azores archipelago offers its unique charm and adventures. São Miguel, the largest island, features stunning crater lakes, while Pico is famed for its imposing mountain, the highest point in Portugal. Faial is dotted with hydrangeas, earning it the nickname "The Blue Island." The islands' geothermal activity means you can enjoy natural hot springs and geysers, adding a spa-like luxury to your rugged outdoor adventures.
Experiences and Recommendations
Whale watching is a must-do in the Azores, with the islands being one of the best places in the world to observe whales and dolphins in their natural habitat. The best time for spotting these magnificent creatures is from April to October. Hiking trails abound, offering pathways through verdant forests, around azure lakes, and along cliff-tops with breathtaking ocean views. Diving in the Azores reveals a colorful underwater world, with vibrant marine life and clear waters.
Tips and Tricks
Weather in the Azores can be unpredictable, with the possibility of experiencing four seasons in a single day, so packing layers is essential. Renting a car is highly recommended as public transport options are limited and the freedom to explore at your own pace is invaluable. Local cuisine is a delight, especially the seafood, which is as fresh as it gets. Try the cozido das Furnas, a stew cooked underground by volcanic steam, for a unique culinary experience.
Personal Reflections
Visiting the Azores was like stepping into a vibrant painting, with the lush greenery, deep blue ocean, and vibrant floral colors. The slow pace of life and the absence of crowds made it easy to unwind and connect with nature. One of my most memorable experiences was a hike around the rim of Sete Cidades crater, where the views were simply spectacular.
For those seeking a blend of adventure and relaxation, with fewer tourists and abundant natural beauty, the Azores provide a perfect getaway. Its blend of natural wonders and welcoming culture makes it an enchanting destination that feels like a world apart.

Mystical Mornings in Bagan
Bagan, located in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar, is a captivating ancient city that sprawls across the plains, dotted with over 2,000 temples and stupas. It is a sacred landscape, offering a spiritual journey back in time and is particularly famous for its breathtaking sunrises and sunsets that paint the sky in hues of orange and pink.
What to Expect
As you explore Bagan, you'll traverse a vast archaeological zone where each temple has its own story. The silhouettes of massive stupas and intricate brickwork stand against the backdrop of the Burmese sky, creating a photogenic panorama at every turn. Renting an electric bike is a popular way to navigate the expansive site, allowing you to cover more ground and find secluded spots away from the main tourist paths.
Experiences and Recommendations
For a truly unforgettable experience, wake up early to catch a sunrise over Bagan. Climbing one of the taller temples to watch the sun illuminate the ancient city in a golden glow is a must. Although the practice of climbing on some temples has been restricted to preserve them, there are designated areas that still offer spectacular views. Balloon rides at dawn offer an aerial perspective that is both serene and spectacular, showcasing the grand scale of the archaeological zone.
Tips and Tricks
The dry season from November to February offers cooler weather, making it an ideal time to visit. Be prepared with sun protection and plenty of water, as the plains can get very hot during the day. Respectful attire is important when visiting sacred sites; shoulders and knees should be covered. Learning a few phrases in Burmese can also enhance your interaction with local vendors and guides.
Personal Reflections
My most cherished memories of Bagan come from the quiet moments spent sitting atop a low hill, watching the landscape change colors as the sun set. It’s not just the visual beauty but the pervasive sense of peace and timelessness that makes Bagan special. The gentle chime of temple bells in the breeze and the distant chants of monks at prayer add to the aura of this mystical place.
For those looking to experience a blend of history, culture, and natural beauty, Bagan is a mesmerizing destination. Its ancient temples not only narrate tales of the past but also offer a place of contemplation and discovery.

Savoring the Solitude: A Journey to Svalbard
Svalbard, a remote archipelago situated in the Arctic Ocean, is a place of profound beauty and stark contrasts. Governed by Norway, it is known for its rugged terrain, polar bears, and midnight sun. Visiting Svalbard is not just a trip; it's an expedition into a frozen, almost untouched world.
What to Expect
Arriving in Longyearbyen, the administrative center and largest settlement, you'll find a small, vibrant community surrounded by vast, icy wilderness. The contrast between the colorful buildings and the monochrome landscape is visually stunning. The region offers unparalleled opportunities for wildlife watching, including polar bears, reindeer, and arctic foxes, as well as unique birds like the puffin.
Experiences and Recommendations
Embark on a guided glacier walk to experience Svalbard’s dramatic landscapes safely. The glaciers, with their deep crevasses and ancient ice, are both awe-inspiring and humbling. A boat trip around the islands can offer a different perspective, with possible sightings of seals and whales along the ice floes. During summer, experience the surreal phenomenon of the midnight sun, where daylight persists for 24 hours.
Tips and Tricks
The weather in Svalbard can be extreme and unpredictable, so appropriate clothing is crucial. Dress in layers and ensure you have waterproof and windproof outerwear. Environmental preservation is taken very seriously here, so adhere to local guidelines to minimize your impact on the fragile ecosystem. Due to the presence of polar bears, venturing outside settled areas without a firearm or a guide is prohibited.
Personal Reflections
What struck me most during my visit was the profound silence of the arctic landscape. Standing on the vast ice fields, with only the sound of the wind and occasional bird calls, was an unforgettable and meditative experience. The isolation and raw nature of Svalbard make it a place where one can truly disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature.
For those drawn to the ends of the Earth, seeking solitude, and a touch of adventure, Svalbard offers a unique journey into the wild Arctic. It’s a destination that challenges and rewards, leaving a lasting impression of its icy beauty and resilience.

Nara Deer Park in Osaka🦌
#cherryblossom2024 🌸
Nara Deer Park: 🦌
[Japan] Osaka Nara Deer Park Cute Deer 1. Osaka Osaka must have checked in very well. Nara Deer Park, this time until I arrived, is how easy it is to feed these little deer.
This is the most long-awaited scenic spot in my journey. There are many little deer here, and I am not afraid of not being able to capture other colors. As long as there are fairy shells and deer cubs in my hands, I will chase you. Some will even use my head to rub against you and make important fairy shells. It is so cute!
The area is very large, and there will be many little deer along the way, as well as a large range of "big and small". However, the environment is still very clean. It's just important to watch and like them when walking, and you don't need to step on the Lu country's Nah. ra deep park.

Jing'an Sculpture Park Shanghai ❤️
#cherryblossom2024 🌸
Sakura and you broke into my camera at Jing'an Sculpture Park. 😍
👫The couple who broke into my camera were an old couple. The colorful water surface reflects the spring that the two of them have walked through, and I don't envy it for being fake..
Jing'an Sculpture Park is very small, with cherry blossoms and plum blossoms blooming in early March. The park also occasionally sprays some water mist to create an atmosphere, which is obviously not my forte. Every time the mist sprays out, I can't see the subject and feel at a loss.
The cherry blossom season was the beginning of my sudden and regular outdoor photography last year. In the short March, I eagerly followed every tree brushed by spring. Although there were no outstanding photographic works left behind, it's not a pity. It's worth visiting.
