How to choose a hotel on Vietnam’s visa-free Phu Quoc Island?
Hotels on Phu Quoc Island are generally located along the beach or near the Paradise Town.
⚫️ East Side - Starfish Beach: The sea here is relatively good.
- 🛏️ JW Marriott, Novotel, Accor Apartments, Accor Village Premium Resort.
⚫️ West Side Beach: Offers sunset views but the beach and water quality are slightly inferior to the east.
- 🛏️ Liberty Central, InterContinental, Novotel, Pullman.
⚫️ North - Pearl Paradise: Has a beach, and the highlight is that the hotels are part of the paradise complex, allowing unlimited access to the park.
- 🛏️ Sheraton, Wyndham, Vinpearl Spa, Meliá.
Personally, I highly recommend JW Marriott, designed by the master Bill Bensley as a "fantasy campus."
Next, I recommend the adjacent Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Premium Apartment, managed by Accor. It is right next to JW Marriott, owned by the same owner, and the beach is connected. Staying in the Emerald Bay Apartment, you can visit and take photos at JW Marriott, which offers great value for money. The rooms at this Accor apartment are also decent.
The Pullman and Liberty Central hotels on the west side have good reviews. These two hotels are on the same beach, just a short walk apart.
If you have children, consider Vinpearl Safari Resort or Vinpearl Wonder. These hotels are part of the Pearl Paradise complex and come with unlimited access to the amusement park.
Phu Quoc Island has a range of hotels catering to different budgets. I recently stayed at the Phu Quoc West Hotel, a beachfront villa for a few hundred VND, and it was a fantastic experience. The key is that it's extremely close to the sea. Most hotels on Phu Quoc Island are just a few steps away from the beach.
Famous miumiu spa information in Ho Chi Minh City
Let's talk about how popular MiuMiu is! When searching for spas in Ho Chi Minh City, many results lead to this particular establishment. Out of curiosity, I decided to visit. Its location is excellent, situated in an affluent area with many Japanese residents. Rumor has it that the brand is also backed by Japanese individuals. The first and second stores are side by side, right in the heart of the city, less than 500 meters from the Pink Church. So, for those tired after visiting the church, you can come here for a massage before continuing your journey.
Regarding reservations: I did not make a reservation. The website only allowed reservations up to seven days in advance, and I couldn't find their Zalo. I just went there on a regular weekday evening, and after a five-minute wait, they arranged everything for me. However, there's no guarantee of availability without a reservation. I saw a middle-aged Japanese couple coming in to adjust their reservation time, so I think it's safer to make a reservation. You can visit once or ask someone who speaks Vietnamese to help you make a reservation by phone.
About the service process: They will ask you to select the massage intensity for different parts of your body. If you're getting a body scrub, they'll ask you to choose the scrub type but not the massage oil. After that, you'll leave your bag and go upstairs to change clothes. There's a restroom inside the changing room. Then, they'll take you to your designated bed.
About the service and skills: The service is excellent, very thoughtful, and they pay attention to privacy, with separate areas for men and women. I tried package 2, selecting medium intensity for each part, and the skills were impressive. Overall, I felt I should have chosen a stronger intensity. My package included a facial massage, a traditional facial massage without equipment. I highly recommend it; their techniques help reduce swelling, and unexpectedly, I even fell asleep.
Address: Just search "MiuMiu Spa" on Google Maps, and it will come up.
Shopping guide for Ho Chi Minh trip in Vietnam
Today, I'll be sharing a shopping guide:
Big C:
I used to think that you could only shop at Big C in Thailand, but it turns out they have it in Vietnam too. I highly recommend everyone to buy souvenirs here. The prices are reasonable, and you can explore local snacks. You can find various brands of Vietnamese coffee here. I tried three brands of coffee, and personally, I like Nescafe's Vietnamese coffee the most.
Landmark 81:
This is located in the rich district, a more high-end shopping center. It's a bit far from the tourist area. It's a regular shopping center, but if you want to buy branded items, you might consider coming here.
Bui Vien Walking Street:
This is the favorite street for young people, especially lively at night. As the night falls, the street becomes crowded with bars on both sides, and the music is booming. There are also some food stalls here, so even if you don't drink, you can try some snacks and experience the lively atmosphere.
Thai Binh Market:
On the third day, come here for breakfast and explore the local market. It's a wet market and has a variety of nuts. Cashews, pistachios, and more can be found here. It feels like the vendors are honest; since it's a market for locals, they don't have to deal with tourists much, so most of them don't speak English.
Ben Thanh Market:
This is a market that tourists usually visit, selling cooked food, nuts, coffee, souvenirs, etc. As it's a tourist area, prices are higher, so it's recommended to haggle. I recommend trying the dried lotus seed snacks here; they're sugar-free, oil-free, and salt-free, a healthy snack. It seems like this snack has different grades; try before you buy, some are harder, and some are more crispy.
Binh Tay Market:
This one is farther from the city center, located in Chinatown. It also sells various nuts, and the prices are a bit cheaper than Ben Thanh Market. It's a larger market, a wholesale market, but it also retails goods.
Vietnamese restaurant recommendations
During my days in Ho Chi Minh City, besides discovering many beautiful cafes, I also found that a small amount of money can get you quality meals. Let me introduce you to District 2 - the expat residential area. Upon the landlord's recommendation, we went to District 2 for a meal one day and absolutely loved it. Next time you come, you might want to stay in District 1 but come to District 2 for a cozy atmosphere.
The Deck Saigon
A French restaurant near the riverside that makes you want to take out your phone and start snapping pictures as soon as you walk in. The white, simple, and upscale design makes you feel like your plastic bag has turned into Hermès. I believe it must have a romantic ambiance in the evening. Seats near the window offer a direct view of the river (although the river might not be exceptionally beautiful 😂).
Mad House
Perfect for lazily sipping cocktails with little umbrellas under the warm sunshine. The outdoor seating is really stylish. It's really hard to leave once you're there.
If you have the chance, definitely take a stroll in District 2!
Vietnamese old house cafe in Ho Chi Minh City
If you can only visit one café in Saigon, it must be this one.
This café, seemingly converted from an ancient house, occupies a vast area and features a unique style, known as Vietnamese Wabi-Sabi. It exudes a strong ancient charm, resembling a visit to a grand ancestral home from bygone eras.
The interior murals are stunning, and there are many seating areas outside for a cool respite. I chose a back area with a tatami-style seating arrangement, leaning against a large French window, sipping a Matcha Latte. I observed the Vietnamese people outside taking photos, chatting, and daydreaming, attempting to pretend, if only for a moment, that I belonged to their world.
Đá Bào Concept - Cố Đô

The sunset at this rooftop garden beerhouse is so beautiful
Today, I want to share a rooftop beer bar in Vietnam that I recently discovered by chance. I have to say that the atmosphere here is spot on!! The key is its central location!
🍸 Thương Rooftop
Address: 258 Ton Dan, Ward 08, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City
Opening Hours: 16:30 – 00:30
Transportation: 3 minutes walk from Vinh Hoi station, located at 124 - 126 Vinh Hoi.
⭐️ Thương Rooftop translates to "Love Rooftop" in English, and this name is very fitting. This little spot is quite popular locally and ranks high. For rooftop enthusiasts, this place might be familiar, and the bar is nicely decorated, offering a stunning cityscape. Sitting here in the evening, sipping on sweet cocktails, and chatting with friends is truly delightful!
⭐️ The bar offers a wide variety of drinks, from cocktails and beer to non-alcoholic beverages. There are also many snacks to taste. Thương Rooftop is not only a great place to enjoy the city sunset but also hosts various weekly events such as tarot card readings and small concerts, adding to the fun and vibrant atmosphere.

🏠 Accommodation
This time, I want to share with you an ❤️ Airbnb that is designed very warmly and meticulously throughout.
🗺️ Name: Retro Loft*Fabulous City Views
🛁 Experience & Highlights:
▫️ I really love the large floor-to-ceiling windows in the bedroom, offering beautiful night views.
▫️ The Airbnb is located on the 5th floor of the building, with an elevator for convenient access.
▫️ The location is excellent, right in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, providing easy access to popular areas.
▫️ There are many nearby cafes and trendy restaurants to explore. If you have time, you can slowly check them out.
Cafe, Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon, Vietnam
Okkio Caffe

There are coffee shops with a retro style everywhere, but the bold and vibrant retro feel is quite unique. Located on the second floor next to the Saigon River Market in Saigon, climb the astonishing staircase, open the heavy glass door, and enter another world. The exclusive French charm of Vietnam, retro yet modern, enjoying the view of the blue sky and white clouds ☁, this pleasant moment is deeply cherished.
The Dreamers Dessert Bar Flag No. 3, Ho Chi Minh City
This branch has the same address as a nearby restaurant, but fortunately, they are not far apart. Therefore, searching for the restaurant name directly is more accurate. The interior space is spacious and comfortable, with saturated orange walls separating the areas with curved arches, creating an overall cozy atmosphere. Perhaps because it has recently opened, there are not many customers yet, but the service from the staff is enthusiastic, and the cake varieties are delicate, making it difficult for me to choose. I ordered a cute cake that looks like a candle, and whether it tastes good or not depends on personal preference 😆 🍰 Address: 169 Nguyễn Văn Hưởng, Thảo Điền, Thủ Đức, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh
This is the most delicious tiramisu I have ever eaten this year
This French chocolate and dessert shop in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, is a great value for money, no doubt about it 😏😏 Moreover, the coffee and chocolate inside taste fantastic.
Take a look at this large Tiramisu, with the flavor of coffee liqueur inside. The combination of the alcohol aroma and coffee flavor is really spot on 👏🏻
The excellent cream is smooth and not greasy, with a rich milk flavor ( •̆ ᵕ •̆ )◞♡
The most exciting part inside is the hazelnut chocolate crumbs between the layers of cake and cream. It's so fragrant, with the nutty aroma of hazelnuts and the rich cocoa flavor of dark chocolate. No words needed.
Their chocolate is also excellent, with many varieties available. You can even choose and make your own little gift box. If you're in Pham Ngu Lao Street in Ho Chi Minh, you must come here. The environment is comfortable, and you can enjoy chocolates and desserts 🧡
The XMas macaron I ordered has a cinnamon flavor, giving a Christmas vibe (⊃・ᴥ・)つ

This colorful little fishing village far away from the hustle and bustle is so beautiful!
🗺️: Upon seeing Mui Ne Fishing Village, the first reaction is: Wow! It's like a beautiful painting.
The blue sky and the sea blend into a unique scene, and from a distance, the coracle boats anchored at sea look like toys.
📍: Located beside the main road in Mui Ne, this beach is quiet, primitive, and features colorful fishing boats. It lacks the hustle and bustle of crowded areas, remaining undeveloped. The sunlight is intense, so be sure to use sun protection.
🦞: The sea breeze carries the scent of fish, and with few tourists around, taking photos here has a distinctive charm. However, it's not recommended to walk down to the beach as it may not be very clean.
🖍️: Several years ago, the main economic activity here was fish sauce production. Today, it has transformed into a holiday destination, avoiding the overcrowded scenes of other tourist spots, offering a more secluded experience. Due to the many fishermen, the area is abundant in seafood, and there are numerous seafood stalls nearby.
Mui Ne White Sand Dunes, all the fantasies about the desert 🏜️ and the sea 🌊
Mui Ne, Vietnam, is just a simple little town, yet it can make you encounter a different world.
Mui Ne is quite small, with roughly four main attractions: White Sand Dunes, Red Sand Dunes, the Fishing Village, and Fairy Stream. Usually, a half-day tour can cover these points, and it's a common itinerary offered by travel agencies.
This text focuses on the White Sand Dunes:
1️⃣ You can choose to see the sunrise or sunset. We chose sunrise and regretted it a bit. Sitting on a sand dune on a motorbike in the early morning, facing strong winds, was freezing. Choosing sunset might be a better option.
2️⃣ There are two large sand dunes—one entirely surrounded by sand and another with half sea and half desert.
3️⃣ Buying transportation on the sand is not necessary and quite expensive. You can choose to walk, but it's challenging, and you probably won't be able to visit both main sand dunes.
4️⃣ For those who purchase transportation, you can enjoy shuttle services between the two sand dunes. The drivers intentionally drive down from a high point, creating a real roller coaster experience—very thrilling!
5️⃣ Regarding photography and clothing, there's no one-size-fits-all strategy. As long as you like it, it's okay—no need to overthink it.
Mui Ne in Vietnam is not inferior to Thailand at all
Mui Ne is incredibly beautiful, where the desert and the sea coexist.
Compared to other popular vacation spots like Phuket, there are hardly any tourists here, and the prices are quite reasonable.
⛱️ You can explore most of Mui Ne's main attractions in half a day. Riding a motorbike may be a bit challenging, so you can arrange a half-day tour with the hotel front desk (they often have colorful off-road vehicles) to take you to the following four points and then return you to the hotel:
⭐️ Fairy Stream
Under the sunlight, it's dazzlingly beautiful, and walking barefoot in the stream gives you a sense of reconnecting with nature.
⭐️ Fishing Village
Actually, it's one section along the coastal main road, and the drone's aerial view is quite breathtaking. There are some good seafood stalls nearby.
⭐️ White Sand Dunes
This is the highlight of the trip! You must try sandboarding; it's incredibly exhilarating (fixed price of 300,000 VND per person). If you're lucky and have a friendly guide, they might let you enjoy several rounds of sandboarding.
⭐️ Red Sand Dunes
This one is relatively average; the color is a bit like a saline-alkali land. You can take a break here and watch the sunset.
💅With the remaining time, you can relax by the hotel pool, soak up the sun, and enjoy the perfect vacation mode.
🌾 The latest situation of rice - Mu Cang Chai
I returned from Mu Cang Chai just a few days ago. By the end of September, the rice in many places had turned golden, and in some places, it had even been completely harvested. However, Mu Cang Chai is the paradise of terraced fields in the Northwest, with rice paddies everywhere, so feel free to plan to come here within the next 2-3 weeks.
The most beautiful place to admire the rice fields in Mu Cang Chai is Móng Ngựa, where the rice is still lush green. Personally, I prefer the vibrant green color of the rice, creating a refreshing and pleasant space. It's only in the evening that it shines with a touch of gold.
Another point that many people might overlook is the Mâm Xôi hill. Here, the rice has gradually turned yellow. For those who love the shining golden color of terraced fields against the hills, make a note to explore this area soon.
In summary, from Mâm Xôi heading towards the town, the rice fields are still very beautiful, while heading in the opposite direction towards Bản Lìm Mông, the golden season has come to an end. Along this route, you can stop at any point along the road to admire the agricultural masterpiece of the H'Mong people.
The best time to appreciate the terraced fields is undoubtedly during sunset and early morning, from sunrise to before 9 a.m. Beyond this timeframe, you can still take photos freely, but the quality usually stops at being "mouth-watering" and "eloquent."

Exploring Hidden Beauty at Binh Quoi Tourist Village in Ho Chi Minh City
When traveling to Ho Chi Minh City and seeking to escape the crowds, I highly recommend a visit to Binh Quoi Tourist Village—a concealed gem waiting to be discovered! Can you believe these enchanting photos were taken in the midst of a bustling city?
Binh Quoi Tourist Village is essentially a resort, a secret haven tucked away from the hustle and bustle, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere. With lotus ponds, bamboo groves, thatched cottages, wooden bridges, an abundance of flowers, and tropical plants, strolling through this village feels like stepping into a Monet painting—an earthly paradise.
The garden is adorned with picturesque spots for photography, and during the daytime with favorable lighting, you can capture stunning light and shadow images. The entire resort resembles a traditional Vietnamese village, far removed from the noisy city center. Here, you can relish leisurely walks with family and friends.
Binh Quoi Tourist Village also offers authentic Vietnamese buffet meals, allowing you to indulge in local flavors after a relaxing exploration.

Living in a Fairytale Forest Cabin
Experience the epitome of French vintage romance at Ana Mandara in Da Lat, Vietnam. The ambiance and service are beyond words! I stayed for two nights and felt it was too short. I wished I could extend my stay to ten days or more. Once you're in, you won't want to leave, as every moment spent here is a delight.
🌲🌲🌲
Ana Mandara Villas Dalat Resort & Spa
Address: Le Lai Street, Ward 5, Da Lat, Vietnam
The service at the hotel is exceptionally thoughtful, offering a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel provides electric car service for convenient transportation within the premises.
🍴 Breakfast is served from 6 AM.
🏊♀️ The pool has temperature-controlled water.
💆 The spa is a unique and worthwhile experience.
⚠️ Practical tip: Ana Mandara's distinctive feature is its French-style villas scattered throughout the forest, each with its unique style and 3-4 rooms per villa. The most recommended villa is Villa 5. The curved sofa is frequently recommended, but it's not just about the view. After comparing, Villa 5 stands out because it has a complete and cinematic feel in the common area on the first floor, resembling the home of the owner. Other villas may lack a similar space or ambiance on the first floor.
A Must-Visit Spot in Ho Chi Minh City: Saigon Fine Arts Museum! 🎨🏛️

Discovering the Vibrant Saigon Fine Arts Museum! 🎨🏛️
📍 Located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, the Saigon Fine Arts Museum is a captivating destination that stole my heart during this journey. The enchanting building, adorned with a delightful shade of goose yellow, exudes a distinctly French charm.
🌟 As I explored the museum, I encountered a rich collection of artworks. The ground floor showcased a significant portion of traditional Vietnamese lacquer paintings, where the fusion of lacquer techniques and painting skills on wooden boards created stunning, three-dimensional effects.
🌟 Moving upstairs, I discovered a mesmerizing art form known as "Silk on Paper." These delicate pieces, resembling the craftsmanship of the Jiangnan region, left a profound impression. While the museum didn't provide detailed explanations about this technique, locals shared insights suggesting it might involve a process similar to rubbings. The paintings on paper are transferred onto silk, showcasing intricate details.

Exploring the Pink Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh City! 🌸⛪️
Vietnam is home to many beautiful churches due to its colonial history, showcasing a strong French influence in its architecture. One must-visit is the Jesus Sacred Heart Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh City, a vivid reminder of the French colonial era. Another historical pink church worth exploring is Tan Dinh Church.
Location:
The Jesus Sacred Heart Cathedral is approximately 15 minutes away from the Central Post Office. Situated in the bustling area of Ho Chi Minh City, it is surrounded by numerous eateries, making it a perfect spot for an afternoon tea. However, be cautious of the hectic motorbike traffic; Vietnamese motorcyclists can be quite daring.
Visiting Hours:
The church is closed on Sundays and Mondays due to worship services. Additionally, from Tuesday to Saturday, the church is not open to visitors from 12 PM to 2 PM. The best time for photography is around 4-5 PM when the light is soft. Note that photography is not allowed inside the church.
Tips:
- Entrance to the church is free.
- The café on the opposite side of the church on the second floor offers a nice view.
- Interior photography is prohibited.
- Keep your belongings secure and pay attention when crossing the road due to heavy traffic.
- As travel agencies typically don't include this spot, the crowd is mostly composed of independent travelers.

This ancient town in Vietnam attracts people from all over the world to take pictures
🇻🇳 Vietnam has always been a mysterious and enchanting country, and in one of its central coastal plains, there is a 📍 ancient town where time seems to have stopped in the 16th and 17th centuries.
