Visiting The Minack Theatre in Cornwall was an absolute highlight of my trip. This world-famous open-air theatre is carved directly into the granite cliffs overlooking the turquoise waters of Porthcurno Bay. The combination of incredible architecture and the dramatic Atlantic Ocean backdrop creates a magical atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else in the world. Walking down the steep stone steps and exploring the sub-tropical gardens nestled into the cliffside was just as exciting as seeing the stage itself. The panoramic views of the coastline are simply stunning, and on a clear day, the water looks almost Mediterranean. It is a true testament to human creativity and a must-visit for anyone traveling to the tip of Cornwall. Tips for your visit: · Book in Advance: Whether you're seeing a show or just visiting for the tour, tickets sell out quickly. · Dress for the Weather: It can get very windy on the cliffside, so bring a jacket even on sunny days. · Sturdy Footwear: There are many narrow, steep steps carved into the rock, so wear comfortable shoes. · Porthcurno Beach: After your visit, take the path down to Porthcurno Beach for some of the softest white sand in the UK. Polperro felt less like a place… and more like a feeling. Soft light, quiet streets, and the sea gently moving in the background — everything about it felt slow, almost delicate. I walked without a destination, letting the small details guide me — the curve of the harbour, the stillness of the water, the way the cottages sit so quietly along the hills. There’s something deeply comforting about a place that doesn’t try to be anything more than what it is. No noise, no rush… just a kind of calm that settles in and stays with you. If someone showed you this beach without telling you where it is… you’d probably guess the Mediterranean. But this is actually in Cornwall. 📍 Pedn Vounder Beach Hidden between dramatic cliffs near Porthcurno, Pedn Vounder is one of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall — famous for its incredibly clear turquoise water and soft white sand. It’s a bit of a climb to get down, but the view (and the swim) makes it completely worth it. #uktrip #cornwall #stives anyone been to St Ives? It’s amazing. We actually preferred St Ives to Falmouth. Lots of shops and cafes. Ice cream along the beachfront as well as an arcade there which was just enough to keep the children busy without spending the whole day there. Although I feel like teenagers would still manage to spend a whole day there which keeps them occupied. You can find a pub called the Union which allows dogs inside, nice little pub with TV on for all to watch, plenty of options on the menu for everyone and they’re able to remove things you might not want. Gluten free? They have jacket potatoes with different toppings. Lactose intolerant? The butter was on the side for the jacket rather than inside which I thought was great and you can opt for something without cheese or ask for no cheese. Overall. Cute little town, definitely some fitness benefits depending where you park but I had a great time here.

#uktrip #cornwall another great place to visit along the north coast in Cornwall is the stunning Padstow, with many restaurants, trinket shops and a stunning view of the harbour heading out to sea. You can see all the boats docked, endure a coastal walk and head down to the beach. If you’re interested in your art or even formula 1 there are some amazing pieces across the three art shops that I’d highly recommend taking a moment to look at as a minimum. While we were there we went to walkers for our lunch and I got the scampi and chips which was amazing, too much for me though it was so filling and my partner had the buttermilk chicken and chips which for the price was perfect what he got. Above all everything was tasty and no complaints from either of us.

They have a stage set up for music sessions and during the winter this area is turns into an ice rink. With two domes and much to see in each you’ll be amazed at the vast amount of foliage, plants, fruit growing and also the ice cream is amazing. It tastes phenomenal.

Though considered an easy trail, some sections can be steep and uneven, adding a bit of excitement to the journey. The expansive sea views are stunning, with the rugged cliffs and turquoise waters creating a breathtaking backdrop. As we walked, we were greeted by the soothing sounds of the waves crashing below. When we reached Portcurno Beach, the fine, soft sand made it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, truly connecting us with nature.

📍 Car is a must for this trip and we chose Spring thinking it will be sunny which turned out to be a classic English weather with clouds 😂. Summer will be a better choice! 🔸Day trip to Looe - fairytale like old village and definitely visit the oldest Inn 'Smugglers Cott'. 🔸Visit the next village Polperro and stroll around beautiful old English houses. There is a lovely fish restaurant right at the end of the harbour Blue Peter Inn - lovely fish & chips! 💡If you have time, visit Polruan for a quick stop! 🔸Move on to St. Austell and stay over night in this lovely little fishing town. There are local shops selling handcrafted souvenirs by the coast. 🔸Day trip to Truro. There is a majestic Cathedral and lively High Street. Try Cornish Pasty! 🔸Move on to St. Ives and walk around the coast, low and high tides are absolutely worth seeing and stay overnight. Lovely souvenir shops restaurants by the harbour. 🔸Final trip to Marazion. Built by King Arthur who is so romantic, located in midst of mountain and ocean. The area is huge that we need time to explore around. Becareful of steps though as some path are rocky and steep. The remains of castle can still be seen around but mostly are ocean and mountain view. Found many unique artitechture building here at tingagel. Most of it made of stones. The pathway towards tintagel castle is quite rough and rocky. We had to be careful with our steps. We enjoyed the view from unique houses and my imagination runs wild. What if the people who live here don't have cars? Where does the food source come from? But majority of people here have their own transport or someone will deliver food supplies for them.
