Hot coffee in cold weather ☕️☕️

Ueshima Coffee House is a two-storey shop located near to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and walk from the Saga-Arashiyama Station, it will be lesser than 600 m only (6-8 minutes walk). In fact, they are the dealer of the coffee beans and all the coffees they made are using those beans.
If you going to Arashiyama and would like to get a shelter from the cold weather after visiting all the tourist spots, this cafe will definitely the best choice for you. The ambience is super nice and instagrammable, or if you want to enjoy the street view, they are offering the outdoor seating as well!!!

Arashiyama’s Fall 🍂🍁
One of the best trips will be roaming Arashiyama area in Kyoto during the Autumn season.
We rented a couple’s Kimono at a nearby shop and there are a few photo spots such as Togetsukyo bridge and Hozu river that are super pretty.
The Hozu river with the backdrop of autumn foliage and forested mountainside makes it an attractive photo spot.
There are also a few temples/shrines around the area. We went to Hogo-in temple, a quaint temple to enjoy a cup of green tea.
Our last stop is the famous Arashiyama bamboo forest. It get pretty crowded in the late morning. Will suggest to come earlier. We actually went to a smaller pathway to get a good photo. The main bamboo forest is too crowded.

Tofu specialties in Arashiyama 🥪🍱🥚
#2024wish #couplestrip #awesomepic #deliciousfood #kyoto #japan #arashiyama #tofu
Ine Tofu rice is located opposite the Teneyu-ji Temple and near to the Togetsukyo Bridge in Arashiyama.
Ever since 30 years ago, it has been well-known with its Tofu cuisine, and nowadays, it is even more popular as there will be long queue all the time the moment they open their shop daily.
The price range of a tofu set is between JPY 1700 to JPY 2100. Quite expensive but considering it is in the famous tourist spots and they are using their own local premium tofu, it is still worth to have a try.
Tip:
- Only cash accepted. Remember to bring along your cash!!! No credit card or Alipay 😀

Ancient Starbucks 🍷🍸🍹🥃

Consider this one of the Starbucks outlets that incorporated with Japanese culture, like full of it.
From the outer built to the counter and to the tatami seatings, it is exactly the fusion of western drinks in asian style.
We enjoyed our Pistachio Latte (only limited to this outlet!!) and also Coffee Latte in Soy Milk very much in this atmosphere. Listening to Japanese background song and some customer wear kimono as stop by here for a drink.

Experiencing the Serenity of Kyoto
#2024wish
Had an amazing trip to Kyoto’s Kiyomizu and Kinkaku-ji during late autumn. The intricate architecture of Kiyomizu-dera and the shimmering golden pavilion of Kinkaku-ji left me in awe. Wandering through the historic streets of Kyoto, I immersed myself in the rich cultural tapestry, exploring traditional tea houses and serene gardens. The breathtaking views from the wooden terrace of Kiyomizu-dera, overlooking the city and cherry blossoms in spring, were truly enchanting. The golden splendor of Kinkaku-ji, surrounded by meticulously landscaped gardens, added a sense of tranquility to my journey. Each moment in Kyoto felt like a step back in time, capturing the essence of Japan's ancient beauty and spiritual heritage.

Kyoto's Autumn Symphony
In Kyoto's autumn of 2023, I wandered the Philosopher's Path amid fiery maple trees, explored Arashiyama's bamboo forest in a burst of fall colors, and marveled at Fushimi Inari Shrine's torii gates amidst fallen leaves. Kiyomizu-dera offered a panoramic view of Kyoto's autumn landscape, and I indulged in seasonal kaiseki meals and cozy tea ceremonies. Illuminated gardens at Eikando Temple capped off my enchanting Kyoto journey, leaving lasting memories of the city's autumn splendor.

Located at the beginning of the Kiyomizuzaka street, Nittai-ji Buddhist Temple is a hidden gem that you may stop by to explore.
Different with the normal temple in Japan, it does not have a big red Torii at the entrance but you will still be surprised how well-maintained it is even it has been built and founded for around 500 years.
🚂How to get there:
- Take no 206 or 100 bus from Kyoto station
- Alight at Gojozaka or Kiyomizu-michi bus stop and take a 5 minute walk uphill to the temple.

Have a bowl of hot and spicy ramen in the winter season is consider a luxury! This ramen has got more to offer, you can select the soup thickness, spiciness, noodle thickness, meat/meat-free during the order to suit your liking.
We chose the one with best recommended (written on the order chit) which is medium soup thickness, medium spiciness and thin noodle. Come to our surprise that every aspect balance perfectly and not overpower by one another.

Wandering Through Kyoto
In mid-April, I embarked on a captivating day trip through Kyoto. I couldn't resist visiting the must-see spots, including the enchanting 鴨川 (Kamo River), the Keage Incline rail track, the original Nintendo HQ building, and The Philosopher's Walk adorned with cherry blossoms. I ended the adventure on a rooftop bar in the city center.
Leaving Kyoto with unforgettable memories, it was time to say goodbye and head back to Osaka.
