Craving roast goose, I always think of the highly popular 'Chess Piece Roast Goose'. I adore the unique aroma of roast goose, and they insist on using 5-pound mother geese raised without antibiotics for their crispy skin and tender, juicy meat with a rich, oily fragrance. Today, I made a pilgrimage to their branch on Carnarvon Road, where the display window is filled with freshly roasted meats, irresistibly fragrant 😋
For two people, we naturally ordered the most cost-effective set meal for two, which for only $248, includes their famous roast goose, another roast meat of your choice, Chinese broccoli, two servings of rice or vermicelli, and two servings of soup or drinks 👍🏻👍🏻
🪿▪️ Chess Piece Roast Goose Signature Dish
Luckily, the chef gave us the goose breast portion 🤣. The roast goose skin is glossy and when bitten into, there's a smoky flavor. The skin is crispy, and there's a thin layer of fat between the goose meat and skin that's rich and overflowing with flavor. The goose meat is well-seasoned, tender, and juicy, and goes perfectly with a mouthful of fragrant rice.

For the other roast meat, we chose char siu, which was equally outstanding. The char siu's surface is charred to a delicious crisp, with a perfect mix of fat and lean, tender and full of honeyed flavor 😔

C+ sports life center is a new venue in Sanya.
The center offers multiple things such as restaurant, fitness club, outdoor activities and VIP party.
The restaurant and bar offers a large variety of healthy food dishes and they are conscious about food allergens, which is remarkable.
The ambiance and vibes remind me my trip in Indonesia. It is well decorated and they play nice music.
On the first floor they have the fitness club, well equipped with new equipment and views are great.
It is also a great place for kids. They have different outdoor activities where kids can enjoy.

Ms Green: Where Taste and Convenience Unite!
I embarked on a midweek dinner with my family at Ms. Green, situated at 244 Lushan Road, Jianye. The chilly evening prompted our choice of comfort food, and Ms. Green did not disappoint with the curry and rice, mac and cheese, and an array of other enticing dishes.
The lady attending to our table added an extra layer of warmth to the experience with her friendly and attentive service. Throughout the evening, she made sure we were well taken care of, enhancing the overall enjoyment of our dining venture.
The efficiency of the kitchen was evident as our food arrived promptly, allowing us to indulge in the flavors without unnecessary delays. What's more, the affordability of the menu pleasantly surprised us, making the culinary experience at Ms. Green not only satisfying but also budget-friendly.
Beyond the culinary delights, the location of Ms. Green is great. This was definitely a great evening spent with my family.

During our visit to Gemdale Plaza, Lady Pineapple at Hexi Gemdale Plaza Shop caught our attention, and what was initially a plan for a swift coffee break evolved into a delightful culinary experience.
Upon entering, the tempting display of pastries couldn't be ignored, and my son insisted on trying their pizza and chicken nuggets. The variety on their menu pleasantly surprised us, and we decided to indulge in more than just coffee.
The food, pastries, and coffee at Lady Pineapple exceeded our expectations. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and the coffee was a perfect companion to our treats. The relaxed atmosphere added to the enjoyment of our time spent there.
One notable aspect that added to our satisfaction was the reasonable pricing of the food and pastries. It's refreshing to find a place that offers such quality at affordable rates.

FoodGasm opened their second store in Jianye District, and my family and I visited their restaurant for the first time. We received a warm welcome from the owners and staff. The service at the restaurant was out of this world.
This was the first time we tried Mediterranean cuisine, and wow, the flavors were absolutely amazing. The staff also kept checking if the food was good and to see if we needed anything else. The prices of the food items are also very affordable, and there are a variety of food options to choose from.
We took the Didi, and you can just search FoodGasm on Didi, and both stores will show up.
My kids also enjoyed the food. I will definitely visit again! It was definitely one of the best food experiences we have had so far in Nanjing.

The cozy atmosphere, coupled with the friendly staff, made our cold Sunday feel warm and welcoming. The service was prompt, ensuring we could enjoy our flavorful dishes without any delay.
We explored a diverse menu and opted for the Thai curry and rice, BBQ pork ribs and eggs Benedict, creamy pasta, chicken and veggies, shrimp quesadilla, and a comforting cup of coffee. Each dish was great, and the prices were reasonable.
However, a minor hiccup was the challenge with strollers outside the restaurant. Navigating them proved tricky, and it's worth noting for families with little ones or wheelchairs.
We will definitely visit Mama Kelly again.

Blue Frog in Aqua City Mall, my family and I had a wonderful dining experience. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, exhibiting a high level of friendliness. We opted for a variety of dishes, including a latte, cream truffle mushroom penne, pan-fried scallops and prawn creamy tomato risotto, and the blue frog mixed grill platter.
The service was impressively swift, and the food that arrived promptly lived up to our expectations. Each dish was not only flavorful but also well-prepared, leaving us with a satisfying culinary experience. The blue frog mixed grill platter, in particular, stood out with its assortment of delectable flavors.

In Taiwan, instead of heading to the many cafes and restaurant, one thing that you should never miss out is the night markets located around the city of taipei. Of course, Shilin Night Market is the night market that both locals and foreigners are well aware off when visiting taipei. Shilin is popular since it is located in the heart of taipei and is located around many schools, therefore attracting the many locals. The prices in the food street here in Shilin are also much lower than the ones sold in the mall and plus, the vendors cook the food fresh right infront of your eyes.
Make sure you come here with an empty stomach, because there is too many stall vendors here and im sure one night wont be able for you to try each and every stall. Shilin market is open everyday and it is located at: No. 101, Jihe Rd, Shilin District, Taipei City, Taiwan 111
Breakfast at DoubleTree Hilton KL
If you love varieties, you should head down towards the makan kitchen at Hilton DoubleTree instead of executive club. However, you should expect grumpy server and bad mood chef due to crowd (I guess).
Advised you not to leave the table alone as waiters will clean it very fast. My table was cleared and taken even before I sat on it. Chef also did not cook my noodle properly, meatball still frozen & cold. Therefore I head down to the executive club for more personalised service. But, instead of greeted, staff just gave me very sour face and she even forgot my drink order. Another server came to serve my drink after super long. Real bad experience on Sunday morning, please be prepared if you are going to stay during that peak period.
But overall, the food varieties and taste is nice (without that cold meatball).

Tea break and Evening Cocktail time. Lounge benefit come from executive room booking and strictly follow their operation time. Tea break available from 2 to 5pm and evening cocktail start from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, if you are late the door is already closed.
There's cosy corner and nice but quite sunny during the day. Great view from here. Afternoon tea not much choices, only snacks and soft drinks. Evening cocktail is da-bomb! I love their minttobe and foods. Worth to have this kind of experience in DoubleTree KL!

The first dish is a cold soup made with yellow corn, which is sweet and smooth. The milk and sheep's milk jelly inside are soft and dense, creating an interesting contrast in texture and taste.
There are four types of sashimi, including aged Akahata, smoked saury, seared black rockfish, and bamboo skewered fish wrapped in seaweed. Each sashimi has its own unique characteristics. Akahata has a thick and rich texture with a hint of ocean flavor when wrapped in seaweed. The smoked saury has a light woody aroma, and the addition of scallions and garlic enhances the flavor. The seared black rockfish is rich in oil and has a crispy texture with refreshing Kyoto scallion on top. The bamboo skewered fish is paired with yuzu pepper to add a bit of spiciness.
The Chiba prefecture clams are served with scallions and myoga, which bring a fresh and fragrant aroma to the sweet and plump clam meat. Fresh seaweed and Japanese flour gluten made into eggplant shapes are also served, which is very cute. This dish showcases the chef's meticulous handling of ingredients and attention to detail.
The Toyama prefecture shrimp is prepared using the Karaage method, which gives it a crispy outer layer and juicy and sweet inside. The Hokkaido hairy crab with Tosa vinegar jelly is sour and appetizing. The perilla flower adds a touch of fragrance.
The tuna has three parts: Nakatoro, Akami, and Otoro. Nakatoro is topped with mustard pickles, which is refreshing and spicy. Akami is rolled with fresh Japanese yam and soy sauce, marinated for ten minutes to absorb the soy sauce's aroma, while the yam brings a bit of sweetness and crispness. Otoro is seared to bring out the oil's fragrance, and the meat is tender and juicy. These three parts showcase the different flavors and textures of tuna, allowing people to taste the essence of tuna at once.
The seasonal tempura includes Mebaru fish, Kamo eggplant, and corn. The Mebaru fish has a golden and crispy outer layer with delicate meat and a light taste. The Kamo eggplant is soft and melts in your mouth. The corn is sweet and has a corn aroma. These three ingredients are seasonal and represent the chef's selection and use of seasonal ingredients.
The seasonal hot pot is grilled sea bream testis marinated in soy sauce and fresh yuzu peel. The testis is smooth and delicate, with a rich flavor. The addition of yuzu peel adds a bit of freshness and sourness, balancing the testis's greasiness.

Two types of sea urchin are used, one from Miyagi prefecture and the other from Hokkaido. Both are saltwater sea urchins served with red vinegar rice, sweet shrimp, and salmon roe. The chef will also sprinkle a type of delicate and high-quality Japanese salt called "Danshyaku" on top. The sea urchin is smooth and fragrant, while the red vinegar rice is slightly sour and sweet. This dish is a dream come true for sea urchin lovers, leaving a lasting impression.
The Tai fish rice pot uses two types of rice, Hokkaido's Seven Star Rice and Uonuma's Koshihikari Rice. The rice is cooked with the soup made from the fish's head, and there are bamboo shoots and mushrooms inside to add layers of flavor and texture. The Tai fish meat is tender and sweet, blending perfectly with the rice. This dish is warm and rich, leaving people feeling satisfied.

Tonight, I wanted to relax and my partner brought me to TANGRAM in Wan Chai. They said this restaurant would make me feel comfortable and satisfied.
The restaurant's environment and atmosphere bring a sense of comfort. Sitting by the window, you can enjoy the bustling night view of the city.
The restaurant staff are very attentive and will proactively introduce the dishes and recommend ingredients, making you feel at home.
First, try the Sashimi Selection from Japan for $158. The Hamachi, Scallops & Shrimp Ponzu Dressing is sweet and refreshing, with a unique and crisp taste. It is high in nutritional value and an absolute must-try Japanese ingredient!
Each bite of fresh sashimi exudes the original taste of the ocean, paired with delicious sauce and fresh ingredients, making it irresistible.
Next is the Grilled Octopus for $198. The taste of this dish is unique, with fresh and juicy grilled octopus that is enhanced by the sauce, making it very delicious.
Then, try the Marinated Salmon for $138. The fish is tender and delicate, with the seasoning of the sauce making it even more wonderful.
The Confit Duck Leg with Noodle Soup for $168 is served with hot and thick soup poured over the noodles in front of you, maintaining the best elasticity and texture of the noodles, while the aroma enhances your appetite. The duck leg is slow-cooked at low temperature and then pan-fried, making it tender and juicy.
Next is the Boston Lobster Half with Noodles for $228. Again, the soup is poured over the noodles before serving, but this time the soup is thicker, fresher, and more fragrant. The Boston lobster meat is tender and rich in flavor. The bowl of noodles is so big that it will satisfy your stomach.
The Pork Tenderloin for $188 is delicious and nutritious, with fresh and tasty meat that even I, who do not like pork, couldn't resist eating a few pieces.
The Lobster Stew with Long Pasta for $348 is the dish that I can't stop thinking about. The lobster juice is rich and delicious, and every strand of pasta is soaked in the thick sauce. The addition of cherry tomatoes makes it even more appetizing, with every bite having a refreshing taste and the flavor of fresh lobster meat, making it a true enjoyment.
For dessert, try the Red Fruits for $78, which are all red fruits full of vitamin C, very healthy. And the Pineapple Crumble for $68 is also a big bowl. It has a soft texture and a sweet and delicious pineapple flavor that is irresistible even when you are full.
The Peach Soda and Lychee Soda for $78 each are also worth trying.
Every dish is full of surprises, and you should savor each one carefully. You can even taste the effort put into the sauces.

The popular Japanese restaurant [Kuro-Mon Suizan] has opened a new branch in Causeway Bay, which is super spacious and decorated with a full Japanese style, just like the Tsim Sha Tsui branch. The ingredients are directly imported from the Kuro-Mon market in Japan to Hong Kong, and the main dishes are a series of fresh and abundant seafood dishes, such as seafood hotpot and authentic Kuro-Mon market snacks, wagyu beef, sashimi, and many other choices. One of the signature dishes is the Kamo-yaki, which creates different flavors with various ingredients 👍🏻👍🏻

Sushi Rin, a high-end Japanese restaurant in Sheung Wan. 🍣
I had an omakase at Sushi Rin in Sheung Wan for $1880. The meal included 7 types of sashimi, 2 Japanese dishes, 6 pieces of sushi, soup, and dessert.
Appetizers: Three small dishes consisting of seasonal vegetables, eel sprouts with sour vinegar, and fluorescent squid with yuzu miso sauce.
Sashimi: Ishigaki sea bream from Amakusa, Japan, prepared in two ways. One with rock salt and yuzu peel, and the other rolled with Japanese mustard and Shizuoka scallions. Served with perilla flowers to enhance the flavor. Needlefish and sawara from Awaji Island, Japan. The former has a rich flavor and refreshing texture, topped with scallions. The latter is a small sea bream from Kagoshima, lightly seared with sake and sea salt to release its oil fragrance. Dip in soy sauce and Japanese mustard when eating. Hokkaido scallops, akagai, and live hokkigai from Iwate Prefecture. The scallops are large and sweet, while the akagai is crisp and refreshing. The live hokkigai is fresh and sweet, served with soy sauce or plum salt to highlight the flavor of the shellfish. Kinmedai from Shizuoka Prefecture, a premium sea bream, is seared to release its oil fragrance. The chef blanches it in hot water to lock in the oil before grilling. Served with lemon miso sauce to balance the oiliness. Buri from Nagasaki Prefecture, grilled to release its oil fragrance, served with perilla leaves, flowers, myoga, and sesame to enhance the flavor.
Japanese dishes: Tempura made with megrim fish, Nagano onions, ferns, and Yamagata garlic. Crispy and lightly seasoned, no need for lemon juice.
Sushi: Isome, a seasonal fish with a rich oil content and strong flavor. Ichiyaboshi from Kagoshima, rich in flavor, served with Japanese mustard and ginger. Hokkaido hairy crab, a mixture of meat and roe, with a strong and sweet flavor, best served hot. Chutoro, a semi-fatty tuna, with a balanced oil and meat flavor. Sea urchin from Yoshioka, a sweet and refreshing flavor, generously served. Nodoguro, the meat from the head of a tuna, is rare and has a heavy oil content. Grilled to release the oil and increase the chewiness, served with Japanese mustard and Kyoto scallions to balance the oiliness. Squid stuffed with squid meat, with a chewy texture, served with kinome and sansho salt to relieve greasiness.
Soup: Miso soup made with three types of miso, with a unique flavor.
Dessert: Homemade Uji matcha milk pudding, with a fragrant tea flavor and smooth texture, topped with black bean honey.

ICHU - Central's Peruvian Cuisine
ICHU is a Peruvian restaurant located on the 3rd floor of H Queen's in Central, led by Michelin-starred chef Virgilio Martinez. The name of the restaurant comes from a plant found in the Andes Mountains of Peru, symbolizing the chef's deep understanding and respect for Peru's rich biodiversity. The restaurant's design is handled by award-winning designer Joyce Wang, creating a relaxed, stylish, and locally inspired atmosphere. The menu showcases the essence of contemporary Peruvian cuisine while preserving traditional flavors and techniques.
On a leisurely Sunday afternoon, we visited the restaurant and ordered their brunch set menu, priced at $498 per person, including three crudos, three starters, one main course, and one dessert platter. We also ordered two glasses of sparkling wine.
The first dish served was a large platter with three crudos, including SALMON TIRADITO, MIXTO CEVICHE, and TRUFFLE SCALLOP.
SALMON TIRADITO: Fresh salmon slices paired with lime juice, chili, and herbs, refreshing and slightly spicy, perfect as an appetizer.
MIXTO CEVICHE: A mix of seafood such as octopus and scallops soaked in lime juice, onions, and cilantro, the freshness of the seafood and the acidity of the lime juice complement each other, very appetizing.
TRUFFLE SCALLOP: Fresh scallop slices paired with black truffle, salmon roe, and lime juice, the tender and elastic texture of the scallop, the aroma of black truffle, and the popping sensation of salmon roe add layers of flavors, while the lime juice balances the greasiness of the dish.
The three starters were XOXO CHICKEN, TACOS DE CARNE, and SALMON ANTICUCHO.
XOXO CHICKEN: Crispy fried chicken nuggets served with spicy egg yolk sauce, the crispy outer layer and juicy inner layer of the chicken nuggets, and the slightly spicy and sweet egg yolk sauce make it irresistible.
TACOS DE CARNE: Beef cubes, avocado puree, and secret sauce wrapped in corn tortillas, the tender and juicy beef cubes, the refreshing taste of avocado puree, and the sour and spicy secret sauce make the taco more flavorful.
SALMON ANTICUCHO: Grilled salmon chunks served with Peruvian chili sauce and cilantro, the slightly charred outer layer and tender inner layer of the salmon, the sour and spicy chili sauce, and the refreshing cilantro add more flavors.
For the main course, we chose CHICKEN PANCA and OCTOPUS.
CHICKEN PANCA: Grilled chicken leg served with corn porridge and sweet potato chips, the chicken leg is grilled to perfection, juicy and flavorful, the corn porridge is a unique dish made of corn, butter, and cheese, thick and smooth, sweet and creamy, the sweet potato chips are crispy and can be dipped in the corn porridge, adding more layers of flavors.
OCTOPUS: Grilled octopus served with mashed potatoes and Peruvian chili sauce, the chewy and sweet octopus, the delicate and smooth mashed potatoes, and the flavorful chili sauce create a perfect combination.
Finally, the dessert platter included ALFAJOR, passion fruit ice cream, and brownie cake.
ALFAJOR: Shortbread cookies filled with caramel sauce and coconut flakes, the cookies are crispy, the caramel sauce is rich and fragrant, and the coconut flakes add more flavors.
Passion fruit ice cream: Ordinary vanilla ice cream with fresh passion fruit sauce, the sour and sweet passion fruit flavor makes the ice cream more exotic.
Brownie cake: Rich chocolate cake with a moist texture and moderate sweetness.

Da’Luka pizzeria is our favourite Italian restaurant so far in Phuket.
It has delicious food, welcoming staff and relaxing ambience. It is a bit pricey compared to the other local restaurants but it’s totally worthy paying.
It is located very close to the airport, approximately 5 minutes away by walking.
If you love Italian food, this is definitely your place! Highly recommended!

This stall is located in Kedai Kopi Clementi Block 380. It serves a good variety of Cendol with various toppings like durian, glutinous rice, red bean, and corn. Yi Sheng HK Charcoal Roasted Delights is a newly opened stall in Block 378 Clementi coffeeshop. It is located opposite Pei Tong Primary School. Must try their signature Char Siew, it is made by marinating slices of pork belly in a mixture of sauces and spices, then grilling or roasting the meat over hot charcoal until it is crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Other than that, they also serve roasted chicken and duck, pork belly and more. Reasonable prices in neighborhood area. Roasted Delights is a staple of the Singaporean diet and is enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds.

For food lovers like me, this is the place to be! Whatever you’re in the mood for, you can find it here. From noodles, to barbecues, Korean food or Japanese food, hotpot, seafood, buffets or “a la carte”, even Halal food! They’ve got it all here. The choice is endless. I always fall into a food-coma after a trip to this famous food street. The also have pubs and bars that serves alcoholic beverages. We also found tea house, coffee shops and juice bars. Definitely not a place for peiple on a strict diet as temptations will be around you.
You can go at noon for lunch and stay til night as more and more vendors open up their shops. The street is so busy especially at night.
Not too far from the center and if are staying at Kempinski hotel (like we did), the taxi ride is about 20 mins. Taxi’s in Taiyuan starts at 8RMB so the fares are cheap (especially using Didi).
