Brisbane City Hall 🏛️🇦🇺
#australiatrip
Wow, Brisbane City Hall, right in the heart of the CBD, is a real standout in Brisbane! It's known as the most luxurious municipal hall in Australia 🏛️. Even though Brisbane isn't the biggest city or the capital of Australia, Queensland's City Hall is fit for royalty, being on the Queen's family's private land in Australia!
The interior is all about marble, giving it that grand look. The clock on the roof is like the fancy cousin of London's Big Ben, with a dial made of rare pure white Australian Opal, outshining Big Ben's glass dial. George King's Square, where City Hall sits, is the place for all the festive fun in Brisbane. And just across the way, you've got the historic Albert Street Uniting Church, a charming spot for weddings in Brisbane 🕰️👑. Sounds like a great place to visit on an Australian adventure!

The Wheel of Brisbane 🎡🇦🇺
#australiatrip
The Wheel of Brisbane, perched on the beautiful South Bank of the Brisbane River, gives you a stunning view of the city from up high. My time on this iconic Ferris wheel was truly unforgettable 🎡. Stepping into the cozy glass cabin, I was treated to breathtaking panoramic views of Brisbane's skyline 🌆. The slow spin gave me plenty of time to soak in the sights, from the glistening river to the modern buildings and green parklands 🌳.
What sets The Wheel of Brisbane apart is its ability to showcase the city's evolution and progress over time. It's a peaceful and romantic experience, especially at sunset or when the city lights twinkle at night 🌇. Perfect place to spend the weekend 🇦🇺
Shorncliffe is a suburb located in the north-eastern part of Brisbane. It is approximately 30 minutes drive from the city.
Here, you will find the historic pier built in the late 1800s. Shorncliffe pier, previously known as Sandgate pier, reopened in 2016 after being closed to public in 2014 for major revamp. The jetty itself gives a relaxing vibe due to its white timber flooring. I also love the calm waters. It is a perfect place unwind.
There's a lot of facilities surrounding the pier, making it more popular to families. It has picnic and BBQ areas, playgrounds, serviced toilets, food stalls, and plenty of carpark spaces. It is also a popular spot for fishing.
This place is worth a visit!

Stunning views of Queensland beaches 🇦🇺
Mt. Coolum National Park is considered to be one of the best hiking spot in Southeast Queensland. It boasts the stunning coastal views of the Sunshine Coast beaches on top of the summit. It is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from Brisbane City.
It took us less than an hour walk to reach the top. This varies on personal’s strength and experience as it can be challenging. It can get generally steep and rocky. There are some paths that don’t have any barriers and if you are not careful, you will slip easily. Despite this, the spectacular views at the top of the summit is breathtaking. Every effort climbing it, is worth it!
Remember, It can be very hot during the day as some area don’t have any shade. Make sure you wear sunscreen or any protection from the heat.

Beautiful Rainforest in Queensland, Aus 🇦🇺
Kondalilla National Park is a popular subtropical rainforest, located in Sunshine Coast, Queensland. It is home of multiple species of flora and fauna. Kondalilla comes from the aboriginal word means “rushing waters”, describing the park’s stunning waterfalls. It approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from Brisbane City.
Since it is quite a distance from our house, we decided to leave as early as 8 o’clock in the morning. We reached the place around 9:30am. It was a good time as there were still lots of spaces in the car park and it wasn’t that crowded. The entrance is free.
Along the way, we were able to appreciate the Obi Valley and Kondalilla falls from two separate lookouts. It is so beautiful! The rockpools above the waterfall on the Skene creek is a popular swimming spot in the park. Unfortunately, we didn’t bring any swimming clothes. We will definitely try it next time!
Although the walk can be challenging due to multiple stairs and rocky path, we were able to reach the bottom of the waterfalls at approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes from the entrance including the stops we made. It is definitely worth it!
Take note: Pets are not allowed in the park. Also, there’s a proper bathroom only in the picnic area near the entrance.
Location: Kondalilla Falls Rd, Flaxton QLD 4560

Free Staycation is the Best Holiday ⭐️
Pacific Hotel Brisbane is a 4 star accomodation which boasts stunning city views and Roma Street Parklands from the balcony.
Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
It is located approximately 6 minutes from Roma Station, 11 minutes to King George Square and a walking distance to Roma street Parklands where you can admire nature.
Facilities:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
It has an outdoor pool with decent size but not heated. It can be very cold! The gym is equipped with essential equipment but the area is not that big. However, I appreciate that there is a water dispenser in the room. They also have function halls at the top floor for private events. But what I love the most is the on site restaurant. The food is delicious but can be pricey. They also offer breakfast buffet. It is cheaper to pre book the day before.
Room: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Our room is the Superior Balcony plus that can accommodate a maximum of 2 guests. It has a balcony overlooking the city and Roma St parklands. What we enjoyed the most is the bed. It is so comfortable that we had no complaints at all. They also offer free wifi. The shower and bathroom is not separate though. Basic necessities are provided such as shampoo, soap, coffee, tea, sugar and a packet of milk but no bathrobe, slippers and water bottles.
Staff: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Staff are very kind and accomodating. Since, our room wasn’t ready yet, they provided us with complimentary drinks from the bar while waiting. Wow, their frozen Margarita is excellent! It tastes good and hits the spot! Also, they let us have late check out until 12nn. It was awesome!
Overall, I highly recommend Pacific Hotel Brisbane. Thank you TRIP.com, we had a lovely stay!

Chocolates that are freshly made daily!
#christmastrip
Store: Noosa Chocolate Factory
Address: The Brisbane Arcade, 160 Queens Street, Brisbane
When Noosa Chocolate Factory opened their 3rd store in Brisbane CBD, it was a big hit for chocolate lovers. They are well known for locally made chocolates that are fresh and tasty! They also sell varieties of hot and iced drinks in store.
When we visited Brisbane Arcade, this is the first store we have noticed. We got really curious as people were lining up to enter, so we lined up as well. As we got inside the store, I was mesmerised to see chocolates with unique flavours, shapes, and sizes that I haven't seen before. Most of them are well-packaged for Christmas, making it a desirable present. So, we decided to buy as a gift for our family. The prices are affordable too. It was definitely worth it!
Take note: As the chocolate slabs are genuinely handcrafted, prices can vary on their sizes and weight. Hence, individual slabs are priced per "100g". If you are unsure, ask their friendly staff.

Brisbane's Christmas Shopping Arcade
#christmastrip
While strolling in the streets of Brisbane City, we stumbled upon a shopping arcade filled with Christmas decorations. I really admire the warm coloured fairylights blanketed every corner of the wall, complimented by the multiple wreath. The Christmas trees are also decorated with colourful baubles and glittery ribbons which made them photo worthy. The old interior design of the place made it more beautiful too!
It feels like I stepped into a magical place that can only be seen in the movies.
Inside Brisbane Arcade, there are various shops that sell handcrafted souvenirs, jewelries, clothing, chocolates and a lot more that are made locally. It is indeed one of the best places to buy gifts for Christmas. Although I didn't had a chance to buy anything for myself, I honestly had fun wandering around and taking photos of this amazing place. I bet others too!
I highly recommend visiting Brisbane Arcade this festive season. However, Arcade's Christmas decorations will last until December 29 only. See it while you can.
Have a Merry Christmas Everyone!

Christmas in Brisbane, Australia
#christmastrip
We are celebrating the festive season in Brisbane City this year, and it is definitely worth a visit!
There are various events around the city that run from Dec 1-24. Colourful Christmas decorations and statues can be seen from the Queen Street mall towards King George Square. I can say that these are all photo worthy spots!
There's also a pop-up photo box located outside Wintergarden where people line up to have their festive snaps taken for free. Of course, we didn't miss the chance. To make it more fun, we borrowed some glittery top too. It was awesome!
However, the highlight of our trip was having the opportunity to see the beautiful gigantic Christmas tree located in front of the Brisbane City Hall. Hands down to everyone who made this all possible. It made me really happy!

Must try: The Wheel of Brisbane 🇦🇺
#timetotravel
The Wheel of Brisbane, situated on the picturesque South Bank of the Brisbane River, offers a captivating view of the city from new heights. My visit to this iconic Ferris wheel was a memorable experience.
Stepping into the comfortable glass-enclosed cabin, I was treated to breathtaking panoramic vistas of Brisbane's skyline. The slow rotation allowed ample time to take in the sights, from the sparkling river to the modern architecture and lush parklands.
What makes The Wheel of Brisbane special is its ability to showcase the city's transformation and growth over the years. It's a serene and romantic experience, especially during sunset or when the city lights up at night.
Whether you're a tourist or a local seeking a fresh perspective on Brisbane, this attraction is a must-visit. The Wheel of Brisbane offers a unique and peaceful escape, providing a memorable journey above the city's bustling streets. #australia #brisbane #instatravel
“Beach” in the heart of Brisbane🇦🇺🌊
Hold onto your sunscreen and prepare for a wild ride because I just experienced the most shocking and interesting "beach" in the heart of #brisbane ☀️
First of all, the sand situation was perplexing. I swear I saw a city worker lugging a wheelbarrow full of sand from the nearest construction site to create this urban beach oasis. And let's not forget the curious assortment of seashells🐚
And the people-watching! Let me tell you, the combination of sunburned office workers, tourists in Hawaiian shirts (in the middle of the city, mind you), and seagulls with a penchant for French fries created a truly spectacular and bewildering spectacle. It was like a social experiment gone delightfully wrong lol

Day trip in the chill city Brisbane🏝️@Australia🇦🇺
Brisbane is the capital of Queensland which offers FREE inner-city ferry service on the river to travel around! ⛴️
The famous Queen street mall located in the heart of the city, could find any global and Australian brand there🛍️
There’s a man-made beach in South Bank area, next to it come along with The Collective Market, offering foods and unique goods🥙🍦💍 Some local bands will play music during the weekend 🎶🎸🎹
Would say this is a very stressless city and suitable for a group of family or friend to travel together!
ALL of the above attractions are in a walkable distance!! Isn’t it amazing🤩🤩🤩

The Steve Irwin Zoo - A Great Family Time
Thinking of heading to brisbane Australia this fall and want to have some awesome family time?
Why not head up north towards sunshine Coast where you can put both road tripping and family time together as the drive to the australia zoo(owned by the renowned Steve Irwin) might take you approx an hour to an hour half drive from brisbane.
Located at 1638 Steve irwin way, this zoo has many animals where you will be able to do some petting especially towards the wallabies and the koala, this zoo also has more of the interactive kind of experience where every kids will be excited for! Of course the prices here might be abit more expensive than the other zoos, bit well it's Steve irwins owned zoo so I think it's worth it to head down for a look!

Wine and Dine @ Brisbane Story Bridge
Looking for a scenic after evening to watch the buildings and bridges lighting up in brisbane, Felons Brewing is the place to be. Smack right under the story Bridge, overlooking the brisbane River this place serves many type of beers, cocktails and food like fish and chips(with choices of different kind of fishes), Burgers, pizza and many other bar bites.
This restaurant is always busy even in winter, as diners will take the outdoor seating(with heat warmers) to enjoy their meal while watching boats passing by with the Story Bridge lighting up slowly and watching the light changes from time to time. This is a perfect place to be if you are looking for a perfect romantic date night out, or just want to chill after work with friends or colleague. I enjoyed my time here in brisbane that's for sure.

The City Of Brisbane
Many people says brisbane is boring and would rather head to gold coast. But I have to disagree, during my work trip in brisbane I explored the city and it is filled with food of different regions, from vietnamese food which serves insanely good pho, to Mexican food, to really good Thai food, western food like a winghaus, pizza parlour, tons if burger shops that sells really decent burgers and of course for sweet tooth, the many different sweet pastries, cakes and chocolates.
In the heart if brisbane City, there are also alot of branded shops like Hugo boss, taghuer, omega, gucci and many more. Definitely a positive shopping experience here. Staying in brisbane City, the hotels isn't too costly which roughly starts from 180- $250 depending on the amenities and stars for the hotel one like.
Most hotels are situated a short walk from the main shopping area in brisbane and alsonwith grocery supermarket like woolsworth! it was such a great sighseeing, shopping experience

Amazing Waterfront Restaurant & Amazing Vibe
Such an amazing experience at felons brewing company located right at story Bridge overlook the iconic brisbane River.
Felons Brewing Company is a great place especially after work in brisbane to chill with colleague or with friends. Eventhough it's a Tuesday evening, the place was rather crowded, mostly with locals. The food and drink prices at Felons wasn't as expensive as I thought. For a snapper fish and chips in an iconic location was $24 and a pint of beer cost approximately $10-$13 which are the normal prices here in brusbane.
There are alot of tables here so you don't need to worry about not getting a seat but if you want the waterfront view seats, I reckon to come early and since now it's the winter season, also do wear ample clothes as the breeze gets rather chilly even with the heaters they provide.
I would recommend to drop by if you want to chill the night away and look at the city light of brisbane slowly lights up into the night.

Beautiful Brisbane River With Sunrise
Brisbane City is located right by the brisbane River.
There are loads of apartments overlooking the amazing view and many restaurants and cafes that seats by the river allowing patrons to have breathtaking waterfront views while having brunch.
For sport enthusiasts like most of the locals, will do their runs and bike along the river of brisbane with well paved track running along the city, thru the city botanic gardens and past the iconic south bank.
You are also able to rent the electric scooter by downloading an app on your phone, and use it to explore the city. There is also a river cruise that runs like a taxi to serve the locals and several pit stops along the city.
If you are a morning person, do wake up early to catch the beautiful sunrise and get a photo opportunity with the amazing back drop.

Beautiful City Botanic Gardens Brisbane
Found an amazing running route in Botanic gardens located in brisbane City. The botanic gardens also runs along the brisbane River which makes the run a very breathtaking, scenic one.
Especially in the morning, the park is filled with runners and cyclists with both path specially separated. The city boantic garden is city's orignal garden, there are several attractions to visit like the bamboo Grove with a collection of species of bamboo, cannons, sculptures, ormantel ponds, river frontage and even a fountain for photo taking sessions. The botanic garden isn't very very huge but it's running and cycling routes do extend with the river giving it a very nice route to be on.

Riverside Sunday Market
Weekends in brisbane tends to be really quiet especially in the city, where most shops open at 10am.
But fret not, there are many farmers market popping up around the city, where one is located right smack in brisbane botanical Gardens. Most stalls opens at 8am, from selling of arts and crafts, too crystals, to freshly brewed coffees, local favourites like sausages, muffins, donuts, and even Asia delights like Vietnamese Pho, spring rolls, Cantonese food serving fried rice, even Korean food too! It's basically also a food haven! There is also a fresh grocery stalls selling fresh plucked fruits, vegetables and even flowers too! There is even stalls that do tarot reading as well if you are interested.
Well, you have to experience it yourself, give yourself approximately an hour or so and of course please do bring cash as some stalls only accept cash. Stalls are open at 8am - 3pm on Sundays only! So do drop by!

Moreton Island Get Wrecked 1-Day Tour
We met our fellow tour guests at the Brisbane Coach Terminal meeting point. Sunset Safaris also does pick-ups from Gold Coast but they are more expensive and the meeting time is way earlier. The driver then collected $50 from each person for the National Park and Ferry levy fees. After that, it was a comfortable 45-minute drive to the port to board the MiCat Ferry.
Our first activity was taking a four-wheel-drive (4WD) out to the desert for sand tobogganing. Then we had a picnic lunch which they provided.
The next two activities were snorkelling and transparent kayaking around the shipwrecks, with equipment provided (super convenient!).
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Corbett & Claude Restaurant, Elizabeth Street
Stepping inside, it felt like I had just entered a vibrant underground cove where the cool crowd came to rendezvous. The place was teeming with lively conversations, creating a buzzing atmosphere. Although the decor was largely industrial-inspired (which could potentially give off a cold and perfunctory vibe), the fuzzy glow from the dim lights and the energy from the crowd made the restaurant feel really warm and inviting.
The staff were wonderfully helpful and polite. They took the time to explain what the dishes were, attended to us in a timely manner and genuinely wished us an enjoyable dinner. Their friendliness made us feel very welcome (:
The food was okay and it was generally a pleasant meal, although there were details of the dishes that could’ve been further refined on the chefs’ part. Prices were also very reasonable, which was great. I would’ve given a rating of 5 stars had the food been better!

Riverside Markets, Brisbane (Australia)
Just a heads up, if you’re planning to visit Riverside Markets, do note that it is located at the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, which is in the CBD area, and not the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, which is near Mount Coo-Tha.
You can enter the market from the corner of Albert Street and Alice Street via a very humble and unassuming entrance. While this market opens on Sundays from 8am to 3pm, its sister market, Kelvin Grove Village Market, run by the same organizers opens on Saturdays from 6am to 1pm.
Despite the unique products and food, they were a tad too pricey and the atmosphere just didn’t feel very vibrant or happening, maybe because there weren’t many people and stalls to begin with (we finished browsing the whole stretch in about 10 minutes).
My overall rating of the experience: 3 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Summit Restaurant & Bar, Mount Coo-Tha
The first thing that caught my eye when I entered the restaurant was how perfectly laid out the chairs and tables were. I also really liked the consistent hues of white and brown, coupled with the warm glow of the indoor lights, it made the interior feel really cosy and down-to-earth. And fairy lights! One can hardly go wrong with fairy lights.
We chose to sit outdoors to get a panoramic view of the city. The warm evening glow of the sun, the cool wind in our hair, the beautiful view in front of us, it was a wonderful moment to just be present and soak it all in.
Really glad we decided to have dinner here because the food was done well and tasted great, the ambience was romantic and calming, and the view from the mountain top just added a sense of wonder to the whole experience! Sadly, the menu items were rather pricey for the portions. Also, it took us quite a while to get the staff’s attention for service on a few occasions.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mount Coo-Tha Lookout Trail Hike/Track
Out of all the other hikes and trails available, Mount Coo-Tha was chosen because it was located comparatively nearer to the city centre than the rest.
We then passed by a picturesque lake area that looked perfect for a picnic, but as we were told that the gate to the trail closes at 4pm, we couldn’t spend much time taking photos here. There were water fountains at certain points of the journey, which was great because I only had a half-empty 500ml bottle of water with me (don’t be like me, please bring enough water!).
The trails were generally moderate in terms of difficulty, with some parts easier than others. There were a few steep-ish uphill climbs which required some level of fitness to surmount, but going at my own pace and taking short breaks really helped. The path was sufficiently wide and level, making for a smoother ascend.
While it was a good feeling being able to make it up to the lookout, I thought the view didn’t justify the amount of effort it took us to get there. Also, there weren’t many breath-taking scenes along the way except that lake area, not sure if it was a seasonal thing but many trees were either bare or had browning leaves.
My overall rating of the experience: 3 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️
