This sanatorium has an excellent location, beautiful park and 5 own beaches. But the staff can be uncivil, especially some doctors and beach boys who are not shouting loudly every time some swims over the “swimming zone” which is only 50 meters from the shore. Cleaning is too superficial. Full board but dishes are not varied and not tasty, especially breakfasts; lack of fresh fruits even in summer. The restaurant and elevators in the main building are just horrible. Overall quite poor quality for money#russia #sochi #adler
Gorgeous Rosa Khutor near Black Sea
Rosa Khutor Peak is located in Krasnaya Polyana, part of the Caucasian ridge. You need to take the cable car to reach to the summit, elevation of 2320m. There are a few hotels in the area, winter sports are very popular during season. You can do almost everything in the resorts, or you can visit for a lovely day trip.
For those who are not fans of winter sports, or if you travel off-season, the cable car by itself presents a lovely ride. The altitude and closeness to Black Sea gives birth to a gorgeous scenery. You can go for a walk over the snow, enjoy a meal in the summit’s restaurant or base jump, if you are not afraid of heights. Additionally, there is a high-altitude adventure park nearby.
📍10 km from Krasnaya Polyana, 50 km from Sochi and Black Sea. Krasnodar Krai

I had the opportunity to visit Sochi at the beginning of this year. It ended up being one of my favourite trips so far. I was lucky enough to have a local friend that showed me around. I came back home a few kilograms heavier (don’t blame me). The food was incredible, but my favourite by far was borscht and shashlik, shashlik is kebabs cooked over a fire, almost similar to bbq.
Our days consisted out of coffee, good food, tasty desserts and beautiful scenery. I felt truly immersed in the culture after spending nearly two months there. I like these kinds of “slow travels”, that way you can really get the feeling of the country and its people.
I can’t wait to go visit Sochi again, perhaps next time in summer. #russia #sochi
