🇯🇵 Osaka castle park | Mesmerizing view of cherry blossom 🌸
Osaka castle is surrounded by a huge park area and lake. Its such a relaxing experience to see the spectacular architecture of palace while strolling through blossom trees.
I strongly recommend you to wait for golden hour. The castle looked wonderful under sunset ray. There's also food vendors selling japanese dishes and snacks like takoyaki. Bring blanket to seat beneath the blossom tree like the locals would be awesome as the weather is cool and view is beautiful. Park and garden is well maintained, toilet is also clean.

Hanami at Osaka Castle with Locals
We visited one of our favorite tenpanyaki izakayas called Vito, and became friends with the owner. We wanted to visit Osaka Castle (or Osaka Jo in Japanese), so we went and our new friend even brought his mother. She made delicious homemade Onigiri and we sat under a beautiful Sakura Tree next to the river at one of the entrances at Osaka Castle. Lately, the weather has been so great - a little hot even. These are the last days to go see the Sakura flowers before it gets too hot. The castle itself was a wonder, and you can feel the old-timey vibes. This is a main tourist attraction, and it can get a little crowded. However the area is so vast that there is no feeling of being overcrowded.

In Osaka Castle Park, there are around 3000 cherry blossom trees! 🌸 By planting late blooming cherry blossoms in Yuzuokou, you can enjoy them until the end of the cherry season.
The Tianshou Pavilion in Osaka Castle Park, surrounded by cherry blossoms, transforms the park into a stunning ancient painting. As you stroll through the park, you'll see many visitors capturing this picturesque moment with their phones. 🏞️📸

Vibrant Osaka: A Day of Food, Sights, and Serenity
Osaka is a lively city with a ton of restaurants and shops to explore. I started my day with a leisurely morning at Kuromon Market, enjoying a fresh seafood breakfast. Then, I headed to Yodogawa River where I saw people doing all sorts of activities like walking their dogs, cycling, playing baseball, and even having BBQs. After that, I took a pleasant stroll through Osaka Castle and the surrounding park. In the afternoon, I checked out the retro vibes of Shinsekai district and couldn't resist the temptation of Dotonbori for some awesome food and shopping.
If you want a quieter evening, I recommend going to Abeno Harukas for a peaceful night view from the rooftop. It's the perfect way to end the day.

ACT III: JQHN IN OSAKA
Japan trip: Feb 1st ~ 18th
After my stay in Kyoto, I have made my way to the final place to visit... Osaka!
For the first place to visit was obviously the famous #dotonbori to have a look at the running man of Glico for myself.
Then walked around to see the many shops around the area (Which isn't long enough to look around in under a day)
For the next place, we went to visit the #narapark and oh my god were the deers persistent to have a bite of the crackers I bought!
Following the next day was the day which I look foward to was the great #osakacastle, and looking at the magnificent castle with my own eyes has completely fulfilled this trip.
Finally, it was the day I went to #universalstudiosjapan.
Mainly my goal was to visit the Nintendo World section, and there I got to try out the Mario Kart ride (Which the line took 2 hrs so I recommend getting a fast pass for this ride)
And now for the last day of the trip, I thought I took it slow and visit around the areas near my accommodation and visited places such as #tsutenkakutower and malls at #osakastation.
Now it was the end of my trip ans I left Japan from #kansaiinternationalairport and for the longest time I've wanted to visit Japan, and to finally have my wish come true... I know for a fact that this won't be my last!
Thank you for reading my lengthy story of my first trip to Japan!

We arrived at Osaka Castle in the morning to learn about its history at the museum, and after closing hours (5:30 PM) the Illuminage event began and we were able to get stunning shots of Osaka Castle at night. Japan and it's castles; comparing Japanese castles with their European counterparts, these Asian structures were never built on a cliff or a hill for extra protection. So, the shōgun built up moats and mazes to slow down enemy attackers. Unlike us Europeans, the Japanese respected these beautiful buildings and very rarely attacked them, instead strangling the food supply so the residents inside starved to death, and then the enemy would waltz in and own an unattacked, unbroken building. The Japanese are amazing. #history #historyfacts #japan #japanesehistory #castle #osakacastle #osaka #sunset #beautiful #castlesunset #japan #travel #solotravel #white #asia #asianarchitecture #castlefacts
