Happy Reunion with Hydrangeas🚗🌺
Hydrangeas symbolize a happy reunion and exude a romantic sweetness. These flowers have a unique language of their own, appearing in clusters that are round and full, reminiscent of Monet's secret garden. Experience the beauty of hydrangeas at Gold and Silver Lake National Urban Wetland Park 📍, blooming at the end of the month. The best time to watch these blooms is late April.
Colorful and Fragrant Rose Flowers🚗🌹
Roses, with their layers of soft and full petals, give off a faint aroma. Their vibrant colors create a beautiful sight, akin to walking into a painting. To enjoy the beauty of rose flowers, head to Gold and Silver Lake Rose Garden 📍. The best time to visit is mid-April. Access to the garden is easy with self-driving navigation. There is public parking available at the entrance of the garden.

It’s Not Zhangjiajie, It’s Enshi Grand Canyon

Take a flight from Shanghai to Enshi (plenty of options, including China Eastern Airlines) and breathe in the clean air!
This is only one of the many natural wonders in Enshi. You can easily spend half-day exploring this mountain. And like all other mountains tourists’ destinations in China, you can take the cable-car up, the path is well-built with clear signs, there are plenty of stairs to climb (instead of hiking through bushes and wilderness). Nevertheless, the view is wonderful. Take some time to stop and just look around -and breathe.
One of the must-visit, underrated, destination of China!
Tips: as this is not an internationally known tourist spot (like Guilin or Zhangjiaje), most restaurants and hotels staff are unable to understand any English. Get yourself a good translator or just master a basic conversational skills :)
Tips 2: this place may not bee too popular to international tourists, but really popular among locals! Still better to visit outside the public holidays.
Beautiful city of Jianshi,
The beautiful city of Jianshi is one of the most overlooked cities in China. This city is relatively isolated, mostly due to the mountainous landscape, that has limited the investment and development of this area. Which is more surprisingly, during epidemic in Hubei, most mountainous towns didn’t even presented a single case of COVID. It’s quite uncommon to see any tourists, transportation access is limited to railway. However, this also implies Jianshi county has an amazing area of virgin forests.
This area is inhabited mostly by the Tujia and Miao minorities. Most common meal is hot pot, finding a coffee is almost impossible. This is due the very traditional lifestyle followed by the residents. However, once you reach you feel like jumping back in time, to traditional Chinese culture. The diversity of herbs available for tea 🍵 makes every drink a pleasant experience.
📍Jianshi county, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei province
Fast train from Shanghai: 9 hours

I survived the curves & narrow paths!
I spent my October holiday in Enshi, Hubei. This place has truly a poetic beauty and wonders. The stone forest park even in a rainy weather wasn’t any less beautiful. I am amazed to see the natural curves and patterns of the stones. Moreover, the place is also teeming in greens. It is a highly recommended place to visit whenever you are in Enshi. You won’t regret it! #nature #relax #trip #instatravel #enshi #hubei #travel #hikingtrails #hiking #wanderlust #china
