The villagers then covered some of the windows with bricks and plastered them with cement and painted them white to hide them. This is the origin of the city with only white buildings everywhere. 🏠 Places to visit: ➡️ Het land van Thorn (The land of Thorn) This is a museum that exhibits the history of Thorn in detail. There is also an audio guide telling the stories of important buildings that you can take out and listen to while walking around the city. Therefore, this is the first place you should stop by. ➡️ St Michael’s Church The church that is the starting point of this city took 450 years to build and has been renovated in a Baroque-Gothic style until it became as beautiful as it is today. There is an entrance fee for this church. ➡️ Old Town Honestly, if you are not interested in history or have limited time, just walking around the city and taking pictures at various spots with an empty mind is fun. It takes about 1-2 hours to walk around. 🥘 Where to eat: We chose to try the national favorite of the Dutch, pancakes, at De Pannekoekenbakker. This shop has 15 branches nationwide. There are hundreds of pancakes to choose from on the menu. Plus, the branch in this city is a beautiful old preserved building. You can sit back and relax and enjoy the atmosphere for a long time.
