#underratedspots Ukraine has many incredible destinations, but I was surprised by how rarely international travelers talk about Sofiyivka Park in Uman. After spending a few hours here, I honestly think it's one of the finest landscape parks in Europe. Created at the end of the 18th century as a romantic gift, the park combines elegant bridges, waterfalls, lakes, statues, underground passages, and carefully designed gardens into one enormous open-air masterpiece. Every path leads somewhere new, whether it's a hidden grotto, a peaceful pond, or another spectacular viewpoint. I quickly realized this wasn't the kind of park where you simply take a walk—it's a place to explore. One of my favorite moments was renting a small boat to pass through the underground river before continuing on foot beneath centuries-old trees. The park constantly changes as you move through it, making every section feel completely different from the last. I recommend setting aside at least half a day, wearing comfortable shoes, and visiting in spring or autumn when the colors make the scenery even more spectacular. It's easy to spend much longer here than you originally planned. Sofiyivka Park may not be as famous internationally as Europe's great royal gardens, but I believe it deserves to be. Uman is a small city, not the from Kiev, in the central part of Ukraine. But it has a very beautiful tourist attraction- Sofiyivka Park. This park is well known for its beauty, because this is a place created with love, and because of love ❤️. In 18th century a count Potocki decided to build this park like a gift for his beloved wife Sofiya. Till nowadays this place let us enjoy it’s beauty. Park has a big lake, lots of waterfalls and fountains. Also a number a hidden sculptures in Antique style all around the territory. It’s a one day trip from the capital of Ukraine. If you have free time during your trip I would recommend you to visit this place. #bucketlistreboot
