Cheltenham town, England. We visited Cheltenham in Gloucestershire for a day’s outing. A pleasant town with many old buildings from its Regency past. We particularly liked the Pittville Pump Room, which is a remnant from Cheltenham’s past as a Spa town. Here we walked around the well kept grounds and visited the Pittville Boathouse cafe for tea, coffee and ice creams. A very pleasant stop right next to the water’s edge of the boating lake. After, we passed the Church of St. Gregory the Great and took photos of the town library too as it was a lovely looking building. In Devonshire Street we saw an incredible mural painted on a wall of owls by possibly a ‘Sophie Tuttle.’ All in all, a pleasant, easy place to visit, not too loud and with a lot of lovely, well maintained old buildings.

Imperial Gardens becomes the crown jewel this time of year. Perfectly manicured flowerbeds bloom in layered rows—daffodils, tulips, hyacinths—splashing colour across the crisp green lawns. Locals linger on benches, sipping takeaway coffee, as if trying to make the moment last a little longer. A walk through Montpellier is a must—Regency architecture framed by blooming trees, boutique shop windows dressed like Easter eggs, and cozy cafés spilling life onto pavements. At every turn, there’s a quiet beauty that doesn’t beg for attention, it just is. The Cotswolds, also known as Cotswold, is located in the southwest of England, not far from London. It is governed by five counties including Oxford, and its boundary is roughly from Stratford-upon-Avon to the south, extending to Radstock near Bath. Most of the buildings here are built with Cotswold stone, which presents a unique honey color, making the architectural style of the entire region unique. Many buildings have a long history, dating back to the 16th century or even earlier. There are quaint country houses, elegant manors, spectacular castles and historic churches. In addition, the Cotswolds also has vast fields, dense forests, clear streams and beautiful gardens. The Cotswolds include: Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury, Castle Combe, Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh, etc. Although they are not far apart, due to the limited time this time, only the first two places were visited. Bourton-on-the-Water: Known as the "Venice of the Cotswolds", the Windrush River runs through the town, there are many ancient stone bridges on the river, and there are colorful flowers decorated with century-old stone houses on both sides, as well as exquisite cafes, restaurants and shops, full of tranquility and leisurely atmosphere, it is a good place for leisurely walks. We joined the Clarkesons Farm locations tour, which included stops at the Diddly Squat shop, Farmers Dog Pub, and Hawkstone Brewery, along with a guided tour of the local area. The entire village is built of golden sandstone and retains its appearance from a thousand years ago, making a walk through it feel like time travel. Cotswold Wildlife Park – A 120-acre park with over 260 species of animals. You can see giraffes, birds, and tortoises up close.
