In Manchu language, "Yargu" (Yargu) is translated into Chinese as "Bald Eagle", commonly known as the mountain eagle. It describes the pass as being as strategically important as a raptor, the mountain eagle, overlooking from above. The pass is divided into three sections, now known as Sandaoguan. Each of the three passes is about a li apart from each other, mostly built of earth and stone. Located on the west bank of the Tuohelun River, it was an extremely important strategic passageway between Liaodong and the Jurchen region of Jianzhou during the Ming Dynasty. It was occupied by the Later Jin during the Battle of Sarhu in the forty-sixth year of the Wanli era (1618), and the site of the pass still exists today. Geographical Location Yaguhuan is located within the territory of Xiaohulun Tun in Sandaoguan Village, Weiziyu Town, southwest of Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County, Fushun City, Liaoning Province. Yaguhuan is also known as "Shizhuzi". It was an important pass of the Ming Dynasty's Liaodong Wall.
