In this post, I’ve put together a list of the cafes that really stood out to me because of their amazing atmosphere. 📍 Yeongdo — Hinyeoul Beach Cafe Address: 236 Jeoryeong-ro, Yeongdo-gu, Busan If you’re heading to Yeongdo Island, I highly recommend stopping by this adorable cafe with a stunning ocean view 🌊 The interior perfectly captures that beachy vibe: huge windows, a bright, airy space, and tons of cute details. You’ll honestly want to take a picture of everything ☺️ You can sit inside or head out to the terrace. Picking a spot is actually the hardest part because the views are gorgeous from every angle, especially when it’s not too crowded. The dessert selection is quite broad, featuring cookies, cakes, and cheesecakes. But my absolute favorite is the 브라운 치즈 크로플 — a croffle topped with Norwegian brown cheese. Think crispy waffle, sweet-and-salty caramel-like cheese, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I especially loved the cozy, green terrace—it’s such a pleasant spot to relax when the weather is nice 🌿 Their specialty is bingsu (shaved ice). The mango and peach flavors are the most popular, while the tomato bingsu is definitely the most unique :) The portions are huge, so one is perfect for sharing between two people. Prices start at around 20,000 won. They also have a great selection of beautiful cakes and desserts. For drinks, you can try some unique options like the sweet corn latte, black sesame latte, or mugwort latte. 📍 Choryang — 초량1941 (Choryang 1941) Address: 533-5 Mangyang-ro, Dong-gu, Busan To me, this place feels more like a mini museum :) Choryang 1941 is housed in an old building that’s been converted into a cafe. It has a very atmospheric vintage interior, making it the perfect place to admire the decor and snap some detail shots. The cafe’s main claim to fame is its signature milk drinks, served in beautiful glass bottles. Since it’s located on the Choryang hillside, the walk up might be a bit steep. However, you can easily get there by public transport, such as from the Busan Station area. When I first visited ARTE MUSEUM Busan, I was honestly quite impressed. The immersive digital art, changing lights and large-scale installations made the whole experience feel different from a typical museum visit. What I liked most was that there are so many photo spots throughout the museum. I’d recommend taking your time here instead of rushing from one room to another — each space has its own atmosphere, colours and details worth exploring. It’s also a great indoor option during the hot summer months in Busan. Being able to escape the heat while spending a couple of hours exploring immersive art was definitely a plus for me. ARTE MUSEUM is already quite popular, so I wouldn’t really call it a hidden gem. But after my first visit, I can understand why so many travellers have it on their Busan itinerary. I had already seen many colourful villages online, so I wondered if it would really feel different in person. But the moment I arrived, I realised I was wrong. There was something special about the pace here. Nobody seemed to be rushing. I found myself walking slower, stopping more often, and enjoying the small details around me,an old staircase, a little café window, flowers beside a quiet house, and the endless blue ocean appearing between the buildings. The best part was not just the famous photo spots. It was the feeling of being away from the busy city. I sat near the seaside for a while, watching the waves and fishing boats moving across the horizon. It was a simple moment, but somehow it became one of my favourite memories in Busan. I visited in the morning, and I highly recommend coming earlier if you prefer a peaceful experience. The village feels completely different when the streets are still quiet. Take your time to explore because the charm is hidden in the small corners, not only the popular viewpoints. A small tip: wear comfortable shoes. Go Slow Cafe in Yeongdo was exactly that kind of place for me. Hidden along the coastline, the cafe has such a peaceful atmosphere, with huge windows looking straight out over the blue sea. I ordered a couple of drinks, found a seat by the window, and honestly didn’t feel like leaving. 💙 What I loved most was how the whole place matched its name — Go Slow. Warm sunlight coming through the windows, simple wooden interiors, trees surrounding the outdoor area, fresh sea air, and that endless ocean view in front of you. There’s no need to plan much here. Just grab a coffee, sit down, talk, take some photos, and enjoy doing absolutely nothing for a while. 하리수국집 Hydrangea House🏡 To feel the hidden beauty of Busan, I sincerely recommend 하리수국집 (Hariseo-gil, Yeongdo-gu, Busan) located on the island, which may be considered by even Koreans to be the secret place of embroidery flowers. Every year during the flowering season from May to July, hydrangeas bloom in a sea of ​​pink and purple flowers, turning the island into a fantastic garden, super romantic with a casual shot, perfect for couples, girlfriends or friends who like to take pictures. 🌸Travel routes/must-visit photo spots: The on-site attraction is not large, with hydrangeas planted around traditional hanoks. The owner thoughtfully painted purple and blue, and took good care of the embroidery flowers, the scene looked very tall and large. Ever since all direct flights between China and Japan were cut, a transfer at Korea is now a must. So why not go back to Busan for a couple of days? Went in with zero expectations since both were free and not considered main attractions in Busan, but both turned out to be world-class. Miffy Café Busan 📍 2, Wachi-ro 51beon-gil, Yeongdo-gu, Busan ✔️ My cousins came to visit Busan and insisted on going to the Miffy Café in Yeongdo. I didn’t know about it, but apparently, there are exclusive Miffy goods available only at the Busan location that they absolutely had to buy! 😲 ✔️ If you follow the winding uphill road, you’ll spot a large orange building. The parking lot is fairly spacious, located both underground and near the entrance. However, it’s a bit narrow and steep, so it’s better suited for confident drivers. 👍 ✔️ The interior was incredibly charming and adorable! They had Miffy-themed drinks and bread, photo zones, and plenty of comfortable seating in a cozy atmosphere. There’s also a separate merchandise shop in the basement, and as a bonus, you can enjoy a stunning view of Busan from the high vantage point! ^.^
