#tripaway CHIMANIMANI DISTRICT I loved the general atmosphere of Chimanimani- it is such a great haven to literally get away from everything modern. The town is quite shanty but you find everything you need to survive, however do take your own supplies to be safe. In terms of nature, it was amazing beyond measure, from the drive there surrounded by mountains, to driving up mountains, hikes, the mountain golfing experience and the ever-beautiful Tessa pools. I would definitely go there over and over! Love it. #tripaway

#tripaway RHODES NYANGA HOTEL This is a lovely hotel with a lot of history. It sits on land once owned by Cecil Rhodes and is now in the Nyanga National Park. We were there in the low season so the place was pretty quiet. The service was excellent, simple meals in the dining room and drinks by the fire in the bar. There is trout fishing in nearby lakes and grilled trout is always on the menu. The staff has a lot of pride in their hotel and the park that encompasses it. The park has several waterfalls and lakes to explore and Mt Nyangani, the highest in Zimbabwe, to climb. And if you make the climb, you may get the staff to present you with a certificate of your accomplishment! To get to some a high clearance vehicle is recommended, especially in around the rainy season #tripaway

Chipangali wildlife Orphanage and research center -Zimbabwe Such an amazing place with a noble cause,Chipangali is a haven for wild animals which have little hope for survival in the wild – animals or birds which have been orphaned, abandoned, injured, born in captivity or brought up unsuccessfully as pets. It is often the last refuge for those brought in sick or injured, and has increasingly become a sanctuary for confiscated animals.These guys are doing amazing work.You can get close to most of the animals even though some are healing.I left the place in awe for such love of animals

MANA POOLS-ZIMBABWE It is one of the most Zimbabwes national parks and i absolutely recommend this destination to all Safari lovers and Nature and animal lovers.The name means four pools which are formed by the Zambezi river.Also there is fauna and flora offering great opportunities for canoeing,walking safaris and other activities.It is also known for its endangered painted dogs (painted wolves).I recommend because its a great place to go and watch the sunset setting in Forest and some of many African Animals you have heard of.I had a great experiance and I make sure i visit whenever i go home for holidays.The most amazing is lunch while watching this huge herd of elephants,hippos and lions

DOMBOSHAVA,ZIMBABWE Domboshava is 30 km drive away from Harare the capital city of Zimbabwe in Southern Africa.It is a vilage by its own. Domboshava is a village named after a large granite hill, there are several rock formations at the top of the hill which have been formed naturally. The granite hill is a National Monument of Zimbabwe and has cave paintings which are dated back almost 6000 years! It was such a beautiful area, and the views were amazing, I’m so grateful I was able to go with my sisters!!!FOR NATURE LOVERS it is a home of Sunset and sunrise.It offers a very beautiful silent sunset.There are also beautiful cave paintings and amazing pottery production. The mossy balancing rocks forest is the shaded south side of the Whovi Loop and the path to Nswatugi Cave, where granite fissures hold Sphagnum after the Nov–Mar rains, Frullania on the Acacia karroo trunks, and Selaginella in the rock joints. I took a Bulawayo minibus to the park gate (30 min, 2 USD cash), paid 15 USD/day foreign entry + 10 USD guide for the rhino walk (guide mandatory in the game area, cash at gate, no card). Slept at Maleme Dam Camp (25 USD/chalet, cash). The mossy section: the Nswatugi Cave trail, 2 km from the Maleme car park, where the granite overhang stays damp year-round on the north face—moss there even in August, thicker Jan–Feb. I went in January—day 27°C, cave shade 21°C, moss dripping. Wore trail-runners; the granite is polished, the moss patches are slick. Mistake: I visited in July — moss reduced to Frullania film, the balancing rocks were just rock. Time it Jan–Feb. Second mistake: I walked the Whovi Loop without a guide — a ranger truck pulled up, rhino were 200 m off, self-walking in the game area is banned. Hire the 10 USD guide at the gate. Third: I sat on a "mossy rock" for lunch — it was a balancing boulder with a 2 cm contact point, a guide tapped my shoulder and pointed to the 1970s fatality plaque 10 m away. Don't lunch under balancing rocks. Buy in Bulawayo: a 3 USD sadza + beef at the Egodini market, not the 40 USD lodge dinner. Gear: a 30 USD sun shell—Matobo granite radiates heat. Local rule: no drone (ZimParks bans, confiscates), no off-trail in game area without armed guide, no touching San paintings (fine + arrest), no climbing the balancing rocks (people die). The moss in the granite joint is the cave's water line—don't soap in it. Opinion: Matobo sells Rhodes' grave and the rhino track; the mossy Nswatugi granite is the quiet half. Should ZimParks build a 200 m plank on the cave approach and fold a 5 USD moss fee into the entry, or keep it 15 USD flat? I'd plank it. Would you pay 15 USD to walk a mossy granite cave where San painters stood 2,000 yrs ago?

Just back home and still overjoyed by our fantastic experience with this company. This was hands down our best Africa trip so far, having already visited Zambia twice, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and South Africa. The three of us agreed we couldn’t have chosen a better service provider, as the top-tier service and attention to detail were strikingly evident throughout. Our guide, Dickson, was exceptionally skilled, well-liked by everyone he interacted with, and consistently went above and beyond to make our trip flawless. Spanning 14 incredible days, our journey took us from Arusha, through Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and finally to the Serengeti before wrapping up with a 4-day beach retreat on Zanzibar. The level of professionalism and quality we encountered was unmatched. For example, we once casually mentioned that the box lunches weren’t to our taste as they didn’t travel well (soggy sandwiches, cake, fruit). From the very next day onward, Dickson personally made hot meals for us, complete with thermoses, plates, cutlery, rice dishes, and even leftovers from the lodges’ buffets. Some days, lodges even asked if we’d like additional items, and we added boiled eggs and crepes. This all required extra effort from Dickson, yet he never once brought it up or sought any credit—he just took the initiative based on a single comment. ❤️ I can’t recommend this experience enough. With countless safari operators in Tanzania (we saw around 40 on our trip), it was clear that Tanzania Specialist stood out with their mature, highly competent, and professional guides. The Maasai wedding ceremony and the hot air balloon ride were the cherries on top—they far exceeded our expectations and were incredible value!

We went on a small-group tour (8 people) through Botswana and Zimbabwe. It was a dream trip filled with incredible impressions. The journey was excellently planned and organized. On-site, we had a German-speaking guide, Mrs. Dorcas, who deserves special praise.

Driving deep into the grasslands, the endless African wilderness unfolds before you, with blue skies, dead trees, savannah, and wild animals forming the purest African landscape. The best time to visit is during the golden hour in the afternoon☀️, when soft slanting light hits the grasslands, creating rich layers and cinematic scenes with every shot. The road conditions are smooth, and the vehicle moves slowly, allowing everyone to enjoy immersive wildlife viewing and capture animal movements. A key reminder from the guide: it is strictly forbidden to lean out or stand up in the vehicle at any time; loud noises that disturb the wildlife are prohibited; there are no shops inside the reserve, so bring enough drinking water and sun protection🧴. Unlike noisy popular spots, this place preserves Africa’s most authentic vastness and silence. Traveling to Zimbabwe, after experiencing the awe of the falls, encountering this tranquil wild grassland completes a deep southern Africa journey🌍.
