Very clean and spacious room with possibility to cook. Bathroom had a bathtube. 😍 Flexible and helpful owners. And the best coffee nearby. What else do you need? We extended one more night 😁

It's a really great place, comfy and cozy. The little veranda was cold in the morning but with the curtains, we didn't feel it at all in the room. As our room was more at the back and not so close to the road, we also didn't hear the traffic at all. Really nice accommodation.

We had a fantastic stay. The Management and cleaning staff were superb so friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and sunny shower and bathroom fantastic. Would highly recommend and will be staying again when in Palmeston North.

It is the ultra accommodating service that makes this place stand out. It turned out that I’d booked the wrong kind of room for my needs, and there was a very quick, willing solution found at no extra cost. I would stay again because I know I’d be well looked after.

It was spacious and comfortable enough for a family of 3-4 to stay together. The cooking facilities are well equipped, so it is convenient. Clean and comfortable bedding. Good Wi-Fi as well. If you ever need to stay in Palmerston North, Fitzroy Motel is a great choice.

I stopped here just because I was tired of driving. There are a bunch of restaurants around and a supermarket, so in that sense, the location is good, but I don't think there is much interesting in the proximity. The room was great: very clean, spacious, the shower was clean and the towels smelled fresh. Even the shampoo, conditioner and bodywash were very nice, not like the regular cheap stuff you get. So all in all a great place to have a rest.

We travelled to Taihape for one of my sisters funerals and upon waking up in the morning we discovered that there was no hot water in our room, or for that matter in the whole block of rooms. Because of this we weren't able to shower before leaving the hotel. The Owners/Managers were made aware of the situation and they discovered that the hot water cylinders for the block had ruptured. No alternative or compensation was offered. Very disappointing as we paid full price of $162 for our room for one night. Will never stay there again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Spaceful accommodation, which also looked at small details. We were very happy and would certainly book again!

Very good location, the shop opened by the old couple, the room is very clean and everything is available. If you are driving, be careful to turn immediately after you reach the intersection, or you will miss another round.
