This place is absolutely amazing! My dorm and I went twice last week, and we ate until we were stuffed for just over 30 yuan each, haha. The kueh teow soup was so flavorful, I even drank the broth clean! The snack platter was only a little over 10 yuan, and the fried kueh teow with meat was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the sauce was so delicious. The only downside is that the shop is a bit small, so you have to share a table during peak hours, but the turnover is fast, and you only have to wait about ten minutes for a seat.
When the kueh teow soup was served, the steam hit my face. I took a sip of the soup first, and I felt completely relaxed. The handmade kueh teow was smooth and slippery, and it was so satisfying to slurp it up. The flavor of the broth slowly seeped out, a very gentle and pleasant aroma. I sat in the shop for a while, lost in thought, and it felt like time slowed down.
The owner will ask if you can handle spicy food first, and then recommend cuts of meat according to your taste, which is a big plus. We ordered a beef offal hot pot, and the portion was just right for two people. The radish soaked up the broth at the end and was even more flavorful than the meat. You make your own dipping sauce, and remember to add plenty of the fried garlic; it's absolutely delicious with the beef offal.
