The choice of "Maison Millière" is because this is an old 15th-century house, and it is still the exterior of the movie "Cyrano de Bergerac" of Gerald Depardieu. The hotel is right next to Notre Dame Dijon, and you can see the stone owl on the corner of the church stroking the blessing crowd. It is also adjacent to the Dijon mustard store La Moutarderie Edmond Fallot. In addition to serving meals, there are tea rooms and boutiques. Through the store hall, we were led to the backyard of the hotel. In the open space the size of a half basketball court, there are twenty or so dining seats, and the depths of the small courtyard are planted with various seasonal vegetables and herbs for cooking. The surrounding walls painted the view of the country farmhouse, so that the open space under the high walls of the surrounding neighbors did not feel depressed at all, but rather like a farmyard in the countryside of Burgundy. The restaurant just returned from the summer vacation and I was thinking about the Burgundy red wine stew that I wanted to eat (the store had to spend a day preparing this dish). I chose a 16-euro set menu: the front: fruit crisp bacon and cheese foam, the main course: low temperature slow cooking pig ridge with roasted vegetables. What is remarkable is this pork spine, the reason for low temperature cooking, the meat is cut open, and it is also with tender pink, like the dew in the morning, with roses waiting to be put. At the end, we still have a favorite, caramel cloth Crème brlé, relive the joy of breaking the caramel shell with a spoon. We sat in the yard for a long time and chatted. A pleasant lunch.
