Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosqueis located in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei, and is an iconic local landmark. The main structure is clad in Italian marble and granite, with fine stone textures and solemn tones that complement the golden dome, creating a magnificent and solemn religious space. The surface of the dome is covered with gold leaf and inlaid with glass mosaics from Venice, which shimmer brilliantly in the sunlight, becoming a striking view on the city skyline. The interior space of the mosque is spacious and solemn, with the prayer hall serving as the main place of worship. The hall is laid with large handmade carpets from Saudi Arabia and other regions, where the soft, dense fabric pairs with the marble decorations to give the space both comfort and a sense of solemnity. Exquisite architectural details, an open hall layout, and rigorous religious etiquette work together to create a serene and devout atmosphere.Bandar Seri Begawan · 54.2 km from Amo

Brunei River is lined with 30 stilt house villages, full of rustic charm, known as the Water Village. It is home to approx. 32,000 people, most of whom continue to live in the traditional way. If you find your trip to Brunei too quiet or lonely, take a walk through Kampong Ayer and visit the homes of Kampong Ayer residents to experience their daily lives. Life here is full of joy, and this water city, which has spanned over 5 centuries, still retains its former charm. Visiting Kampong Ayer at night is a unique experience. Stand on the shore to watch Kampong Ayer situated on the Brunei River, where twinkling lights stretch for 8 km like a river of stars. If you take a yacht up the Brunei River to the back of the royal palace, the scenery along the banks is even more charming. The waterfront restaurants along the shore are also ideal places to enjoy the night view of Kampong Ayer. Sitting in a semi-circular restaurant facing Kampong Ayer, you can take in the panoramic view of Kampong Ayer.Bandar Seri Begawan · 53.2 km from Amo

The whole park is a hiking exercise. Those who like outdoor sports can come and try it. The mountain road is steep, and some places are not easy to walk on, whether it is intentional or not. You need to use ropes to climb, which feels a bit like following Bear Grylls on an adventure... But after the rain, the soles of your feet are muddy, so be careful not to slip! Follow the signs throughout the whole process. In fact, there is only this excavated mountain road. I don’t know how many mountains I climbed up and down, and finally came back in a circle. The whole process took about two hours. Note that you must eat and drink enough at the entrance of the park when you come in, and buy a few more bottles of water, otherwise, during the whole process of hiking over the mountain, not only will you consume a lot of food, but you will also have no supplies, which will be embarrassing!

The Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, a landmark in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei, is one of the most beautiful mosques in Southeast Asia. Named after the 28th Sultan (father of the current Sultan), it was completed in 1958. Blending Mughal Islamic and Italian styles, it is built on an artificial lagoon. Photos I saw showed it was especially beautiful when the water was on, but unfortunately, it was dry when I visited, so it wasn't quite as stunning. Admission is free. Non-Muslims are only allowed entry during designated times. Appropriate attire is required; robes can be borrowed free of charge. Slippers are necessary. The lights at night, reflected in the lake, create beautiful photos. Opposite is the popular photo frame; be sure to take pictures there.

It's interesting to see the living conditions even from the hallway. The floor is damaged in places and there is a lot of cat droppings, so be careful.

It is a great place to go when the sun is out or it suddenly rains hard outside, but the air conditioning is very strong, so you need to keep warm! It is best to go in with a guide to fully understand the history of Brunei. I usually don't like visiting museums because I always find it boring to stay in such places. Since there is not much to do in Bandar Seri Begawan, I had to visit this museum and was pleasantly surprised. It was so interesting! It was very beautiful inside! The staff was helpful and spoke fluent English, so the communication was very smooth. We walked around the whole museum and saw all the gifts presented to the King of Brunei by other countries and were deeply fascinated by them. Each gift was unique and fully reflected the style of their respective countries. The best thing about this museum is that at the end of the tour, you can see a small gift shop with a variety of souvenirs that are cheap and worth buying. We were very happy to visit this museum. Highly recommended!
