Andong Hahoe Folk Village
Andong Hahoe Village is one of the few existing spaces where the traditional lifestyle of Koreans is alive. It is now included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Hahoe Village has become synonymous with Korean traditional culture since Queen Elizabeth II visited in 1999. It has received former US President George W. Bush (2005), former South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun (2007), and former US President George W. Bush (2009), etc. celebrity politicians. Most of the houses and ancient houses in the village are open to tourists, where tourists can stay and taste the food of the Andong area. Hahoe Village is also the filming location of the South Korean movie "Scandal" starring Bae Yongjun and "Huang Jinyi" starring Song Hye Kyo, and also has the former residence of Han star Liu Shiyuan. Dosan Seowon
Taoshan Academy was established in 1574 in memory of Li Hong's knowledge and virtue. In the 16th year of Emperor Myeongjong (1561), Mr. Lee Hwang, a great master of sexual science in the middle of the Joseon Dynasty, personally established the Taoshan Book Hall and the Nongyun Temple, where he cultivated his mind and body, studied his knowledge, and through lectures, cultivated talents who were useful for the country's century-old plan. There are similarities between attending and present-day private schools. On the whole, the architectural style of the academy is simple and concise, which just right reflects Tuixi's own life style and the high-spiritedness of the academic scholars. The academy is roughly divided into Taoshan Academy and Taoshan Academy. Among them, Taoshan Academy is the place where Mr. Tuishan lived and imparted knowledge to his disciples, while Taoshan Academy was established after Mr. Tuixi died. Taoshan Academy was built in 1561 (the 16th year of Emperor Mingzong). It is said that Mr. Tuixi was built to study academic issues after returning to his hometown. The older buildings inside were designed by Mr. Tuixi himself. In addition, at that time, the dormitory "Nongyun Jingshe" for Confucian scholars and the Xiaku Zhishe were also built. In 1574, 4 years after the death of Mr. Tuoxi, his disciples jointly established Taoshan Academy on the back side of the original Taoshan Academy in order to mourn him and inherit and carry forward his academics. He personally nominated "Taoshan Academy" for him and became the Ci'e Academy. Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy
Pingshan Academy is located in Andong City, South Korea. It was a famous private educational institution in the Joseon Dynasty and was established by the North Korean Confucian Liu Chenglong. In 1978, Pyeongsan Seowon was designated as Korea's No. 260 Historic Site. There are more than 3,000 volumes of literature in the academy. Every year in mid-March and mid-September of the lunar calendar, sacrifices to the famous North Korean Prime Minister Seiyaliu Chenglong are held. The academy is famous for its architectural style that is in harmony with nature. The academy is not big, but the environment is very quiet, with mountains behind and water in front. Most of the visitors are local Korean tourists, which is quite interesting. It should be quite beautiful to go there in the autumn when the red leaves are in season, but we only caught the tail end of the season.
