Hoan Kiem Lake
Hoan Kiem Lake was originally called Green Water Lake, and was later renamed after the legend that the Vietnamese monarch Le Loi received and returned a sword here. The lake is long and narrow from north to south, and the loop around the lake is less than 2 km, which can be walked in about half an hour. The vibrant flowers add so much colour to the surroundings, making every corner picture-perfect. The highlight is the journey towards Fansipan Peak, the highest mountain in Indochina, where you can enjoy breathtaking views and explore the beautiful spiritual complex.✨ What I loved most: The spectacular scenery, beautiful gardens, unique mountain experience, and countless photo opportunities.📸 Travel tip: Bring a jacket because the weather at higher elevations can be much colder than in Sapa town. It's close to Love Falls, so it's good to go there together. It's just a regular waterfall. Haha. If you have time, you can go, but if you don't have time, you can skip it.

Was a really good show, learning the history of Vietnam through puppets and music. Was a great experience and would recommend this to anyone going Hanoi. Only downside is that not everything is translated. The story is translated via the earpiece but the dialogue within the show isn't which is a shame as it is difficult to understand what was happening at times but overall still recommended to visit.

The Hoan Kiem lake in Hanoi is one of the most visited central attractions of the city. The atmosphere is leisurely and relaxing, which makes it an easy-going place to enjoy a nighttime or a daytime stroll, while taking pictures and taking in the views of the streets around, where there are many shops, cafes and restaurants as well as street eateries.
