The theater was built in 1906 and was initially used as an opera house and movie theater. In 1946, it was redesigned with an Art Deco exterior and a striking neon tower sign was added, making it one of the most recognizable buildings in downtown Boulder. After multiple renovations and upgrades, it retains its rich historical charm while offering modern performance capabilities. It can accommodate approx. 850 guests and is equipped with modern lighting, sound, and stage facilities, hosting a variety of programs including rock, folk, jazz, bluegrass, classical music, comedy shows, film screenings, lectures, and community cultural events. Saw rattlesnakes, nice trail. Steep inclines, not for everybody. Elevation isn't too drastic here, but you still may need to be prepared. There are plenty of rock climbers to watch. Really nice area. About 8 miles from Boulder. I wouldn't put this in my Top 10 hikes, but it was not hard to find and it is not a difficult area to hike. There are some trails there that are very easy. Views were pretty good towards the top. State Park fee was $9.00 per vehicle. Pretty cheap to have access to a bunch of trails.

Eben G. Fine Park is a community park. It doesn't have many special features and is a simple park. There are nearby residents and children riding bicycles. It is a place full of life.

I'll be coming back with my bike, but the cafe here serves fantastic coffee and cabinet food. So even if you're just visiting the lookout this is the place to stop and enjoy a brew with a view.
