This monument was erected in honor of the first prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Sir Vere Cornwall Bird known as Papa Bird. He is responsible for the island's independence in 1981 and also known as "The Father of the Nation".

Seabirds were flying in the harbor, but unfortunately I didn't bring any bread to feed them. However, it was nice to watch the sunset here. People often took photos.
