Washington Park is a Portland attraction situated on a hill on the west side. It houses the world-famous International Rose Test Garden, a hybrid of a rose origin site and an experimental farm. It frequently cultivates precious new and improved rose varieties, making it quite charming for gardening enthusiasts. The garden contains over 500 rose varieties and more than 10,000 rose bushes. From mid-May to November each year, the roses are in full bloom, which is truly stunning. The tiles embedded in the walkways throughout the park feature the autographs of every Rose Queen from 1907 to the present, which makes many visitors stop to admire them. In addition, the park includes the World Forestry Center, theJapanese Garden, and a zoo. The zoo next to the park is a breeding ground for Asian elephants outside of the Asian jungle. In the zoo, there is a penguin parade where the penguins wear suits. The park and the zoo are connected by the zoo railway. This famous park also features the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry.Portland · 16.2 km from Clackamas

Hiking in Tryon Creek State Park and enjoying the forest's tranquility reveals just how interesting nature can be. The park's trails are a great place for jogging, walking, and horseback riding. With multiple trails leading in different directions, you can choose one to explore. The trails are clean, well-maintained, and preserve the original appearance of nature. As you walk, you'll come upon a forest where the air becomes exceptionally fresh and serene, naturally causing you to slow your pace for fear of disturbing its quietude. Not far away, you can hear the sound of a flowing creek, with a small bridge resting quietly above it, while birds in the forest sing joyfully. These various sounds weave together into a song, creating a charming natural landscape alongside the scenery before you.Portland · 9 km from Clackamas

The park is very large, and is suitable for children or friends to play. When I passed by, I saw that there were not many people, which may be related to the weekday. The facilities that a general amusement park should have are also available.

The zoo is laid out so nicely, with clean bathrooms and places to stop for snacks at just the right time! We went on a Friday and it was not crowded at all.

Washington Park, Portland Washington Park, located in the suburbs of Portland, is a natural park built on hills with a history of more than 100 years. The park includes the Portland Zoo, the World Forestry Center, the Portland Children's Museum (established in 1946, located in the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI)), the Hoyt Arboretum (with a series of coast redwoods over 150 feet high, which were the first trees planted in the arboretum in 1931), the International Rose Test Garden (established in 1917, the oldest public rose test garden in the United States), and the Portland Japanese Garden (established in 1962 on the site of the former Washington Park Zoo, after which the zoo moved to its current location). In the warm sunshine of early spring, the flowers are charming, and it is really pleasant to spend a day here.

Portland is a city that really surprised us. Compared with Seattle, it is much quieter here, but the whole city is very pleasant, with parks and rivers everywhere. It is worthy of being a livable city in the United States.

The gardens are especially gorgeous when all the flowers in Rhode Island are in bloom, but they are beautiful any time of year. Birds flutter among the flowers and various plants. You can come for a picnic, stay a while and enjoy the view.
