There are large areas of virgin jungle and subtropical rainforest growing in the park, among which the eucalyptus tree is famous. Its volatile oil droplets are refracted by sunlight in the air to present a blue fog, hence the name Blue Mountain. Here, you can hike and explore deep into the tropical rainforest, enjoy the scenery of different seasons, encounter Australia's native animals, and take a high-altitude cable car to overlook iconic landmarks such as the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, Mount.Solitude and the Jamison Valley. △ Enjoy the magnificent sunset view △ See the different seasons in the Blue Mountains △ Meet Australia's native animalsSydney · 26.2 km from Clarence

Three Sisters

Three Sisters

Three Sisters are an iconic sandstone rock formation in the Blue Mountains in Australia, rising on the Jamison Valley cliff edge near Katoomba. They consist of three yellow-brown sandstone peaks standing side by side, named Meehni, Wimlah, and Gunnedoo, each at about 900 m elevation. Formed by wind and rain eroding the softer sandstone over hundreds of millions of years, they and the continuous cliffs behind them create one of the Blue Mountains' most recognizable scenes. A widely told Aboriginal legend adds a story to the rocks: three sisters from the Katoomba people fell in love with three brothers from the nearby Nipian people, a relationship that broke tribal law and sparked conflict between the groups. In the crisis, an elder turned the sisters into stone to protect them; no one could ever restore them, and the Three Sisters have watched over the valley ever since. There are several versions of the tale, and it's best taken as a story—the real protagonists remain the three rock peaks before you. When you visit, don't be satisfied with just viewing them from a distance: Echo Point viewing platform is the classic spot to frame Three Sisters with the whole valley in one shot. From there, the Giant Stairway trail descends nearly 1,000 stone steps to the valley floor; walking partway down lets you look up at the cliffs from below, offering a more dramatic angle than the viewpoint. The mist from the Blue Mountains' eucalyptus forest often gives the valley a pale blue veil, and the soft light at dawn and at sunset is ideal for photography. The stairs are steep—easy to descend but strenuous to climb back up, so go only as far as you can manage.Katoomba · 29.4 km from Clarence

Echo Point (Echo Point) is a good place to appreciate the Blue Mountains. The jungle and canyons are in front of you, and you can look far away from the lookout, and you can have a panoramic view of the scenery. The beautiful, misty mountains of Echo Point are truly blue here, and it's perfect to make this your first stop on the Blue Mountains. There is also a visitor center with information to help visitors understand the surrounding environment. The surrounding facilities are good, there are restaurants, hotels, and souvenir shops, where you can buy maps. Sydney Harbour Bridge

1.3k reviews
The Sydney Harbour Bridge spans across Sydney Harbour, connecting the city center on the south shore with the north shore, and faces the Sydney Opera House to the east across the water. The iconic duo appears in almost every Sydney postcard. This steel arch bridge, completed in 1932, is majestic: its main arch spans over 500 m, with the arch crown standing more than 130 m above sea level. The approximately 50 m-wide deck accommodates train tracks, car lanes, a bicycle path, and a pedestrian walkway, remaining a vital urban thoroughfare to this day. There are many ways to experience the bridge: you can drive or take a train across it, pass underneath on a sailing boat or ferry, or choose the leisurely option of walking across. The pedestrian walkway is on the eastern side, accessible via stairs from the Rocks or the north shore, while the bicycle path is on the western side. When reaching the south shore, don't miss the tower at the southeastern corner. Climb its roughly 200 steps to the observation deck for a level view of the steel arch and a panoramic harbor vista. The tower also houses an exhibition on the bridge's construction history. For a closer encounter with the sky, join the bridge climb experience: suit up in the provided gear and follow the guide along the arch ribs to the summit. Millions have completed this climb since its inception, with each offering unique views—dawn, daylight, dusk, and night. Gazing down at the Opera House and the entire Sydney Harbour from the top is a highlight for many travelers. On New Year's Eve, the bridge becomes the backdrop for the city's fireworks display, with prime viewing spots along both shores in high demand.Australia · Sydney
Sydney Fish Market

Sydney Fish Market

7.3
4.4/5
479 reviews
The Sydney Fish Market is one of the larger seafood distribution markets in the Southern Hemisphere and a long-standing destination for locals to purchase fresh catches and enjoy seafood. It has now fully relocated from its longtime Pyrmont site to a new venue by Blackwattle Bay, featuring a wave-like roof covered in fish-scale textures that stands out among the bay area's architecture. The market's wholesale tradition continues to this day: every weekday morning, a Dutch-style clock auction begins on time, with seafood arriving overnight from the coasts of New South Wales, as well as Tasmania and New Zealand, showcasing over a hundred varieties in the auction hall. The retail area is the domain of visitors, where crushed ice displays feature Australian lobsters, king crabs, mud crabs, Sydney rock oysters, salmon, snappers, and barramundi, with the constant bustle of oyster shucking, fish filleting, and packing. The venue gathers around forty merchants, including long-established fish stalls like Christie's, Nicholas, and Claudio's, as well as small eateries offering freshly sliced sashimi, Malaysian spicy crab, and New Orleans shrimp burgers. It also features a bakery, artisanal deli, produce stand, and beverage shop. Dining here is casual: grab a plate of freshly shucked rock oysters or sashimi and enjoy it by the waterfront terrace before continuing your stroll. For a sit-down meal, there are restaurants overlooking Blackwattle Bay. If you're curious about the seafood industry, join an official behind-the-scenes tour to witness the early morning wholesale auctions or sign up for a cooking class at the Sydney seafood school to learn how to prepare the day's catch from professional chefs. If it's your first visit and you're unsure where to start, try the freshly made seafood from the deli counter first. For a more budget-friendly option, ask the fishmonger to recommend seasonal lesser-known fish varieties—they're often more affordable than star species like lobster or salmon, without compromising freshness. If taking raw seafood to go, remember to ask the vendor to add ice and pack it in an insulated bag, then refrigerate it as soon as possible.Sydney · 99.5 km from Clarence

Boar's Head Lookout is a secluded and mysterious spot within the Blue Mountains National Park. Stepping onto the edge of this expansive cliff, the majestic Megalong Valley unfolds before your eyes like a magnificent scroll painting, a truly breathtaking sight. Here, you can not only enjoy panoramic views of the verdant mountains, but also observe up close the unique sandstone formations, weathered by millions of years of wind and sand, each with its own distinct shape. Breathe in the crisp mountain air, watch the blue mist drift with the sunlight, and the hustle and bustle of the city instantly vanishes. Whether capturing the silhouette of the valley under the setting sun or simply watching the clouds drift by, this place allows you to deeply experience the wild beauty of the Blue Mountains, letting your weary body and mind find true healing in nature's embrace. We believe that at this secluded viewpoint, you will create wonderful memories of Sydney's Blue Mountains National Park, washing away work fatigue and worries, and fully immersing yourself in nature.Katoomba · 27.3 km from Clarence

You haven’t been to Sydney if you haven’t been to the Blue Mountains. World Heritage Site that is 2 hours scenic train ride from Sydney Central Station. If you’re on a budget like me, Get off at Katoomba station & take the bus to Echo Point to see the three sisters and walk the giant staircase down to bottom of the 3 sisters. But if you want to spend a little, Scenic World tour office is just at the exit of the Katoomba train station.

Traveling to Australia, this stop came to Sydney, and followed the tour group to the Blue Mountains to check in. There is a small town called Leura at the foot of the Blue Mountains. It is a very famous town here. Because it is close to the Blue Mountains, many tourists who go to the Blue Mountains will stop here to take a walk and take a break before continuing their journey. Because of its scenery, spring and autumn are its best tourist seasons every year. In spring, the main street of the town is full of cherry blossoms on both sides, and the pink sea of flowers is very beautiful; in autumn, the red and yellow leaves set off the autumn atmosphere. You can choose your favorite season to play.

I visited this small park on Sydney Harbour, after a pleasant walk in the nearby Garigal National Park. Echo Park is compact but well laid out, with some short but pleasant walkways close to the harbour, grassy areas, a separate children's play area, picnic areas on the harbour and toilet facilities. Definitely worth considering a visit if you are in the area. Be aware that there are not many shops in the area, so take water, food etc with you.

I always check other people's reviews before each trip for reference and then add my own. Although it was peak season, the crowds weren't large at all, not even comparable to those in China. Just arrive 10-15 minutes before the cruise departure time; e-ticket verification is very quick. You can see the opera house, the harbor bridge, and the coastal residential areas, etc. It's definitely worth a visit!
