São Jorge CastleIt is one of the ancient buildings in Lisbon and a major historical monument and tourist attraction in Lisbon. The castle is built onAlfamaThe high point of the area was a fortress when the Moors occupied Lisbon in the Middle Ages. Located on a commanding hillside, its presence can be seen from almost every corner of Lisbon. The castle originally belonged to the earlier Visigoths. After the Moorish invasion, it underwent large-scale expansion, and its walls, up to 8 m thick, still impress with their grandeur today. Here, people can better appreciate the city's architectural art, whether fromAlfamaTo the futuristic castles and drawbridges in the distant city, or in the urbanCarmo churchThe open-air ruins can be seen at a glance. National monument The architectural complex known as Lisbon castle and Lisbon city walls was classified as a national monument under the decree issued on June 16, 1910. The monument is owned by the Portuguese state and was temporarily transferred to Lisbon city hall on September 13, 1934, with the complete transfer finalized on May 31, 1942. On June 8, 1979, the revised terms of transfer for São Jorge Castle were officially enacted. Following the resolution of the Lisbon municipal council in October 1995, São Jorge Castle was placed under the management of the municipal company Empresa de Bairros Históricos de Lisboa (EBAHL). In 2003, this management responsibility was transferred to the municipal company Empresa de Gestão de Equipamentos e Animação Cultural (EGEAC). The site consists of a castle, the ruins of the Alcázar palace, the Plaza de Armas, a spacious viewing platform overlooking the entire city, a museum exhibition area, an archaeological exhibition area, several garden areas, and the city walls. The monument covers an area of approx. 4 hectares, surrounded by a massive perimeter wall and city walls, with one section of the wall coinciding with part of the boundary of Lisbon's old castle. Space and view In the past, there were no trees inside or outside the city walls; even if there were, the quantity was far less than today. In the days when the castle was merely a fortress to be conquered, it was absolutely unacceptable to provide the enemy with any tools for climbing or even setting fires, thereby facilitating their siege. The castle garden was built in the 1950s and is one of the earliest view architecture works in Portugal. Its designer, architect Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles, conceived this garden precisely when the castle completely ceased its military use, aiming to complement the historic site while providing visitors with a highly comfortable leisure area.Portugal · Lisbon

Teatro Flamenco Sevilla

Teatro Flamenco Sevilla is located in the heart of Seville's old town and is a theater dedicated to live flamenco performances. The building has a rich history: it was originally the Pathé cinema opened in the 1920s, then served as a television studio and variety theater for decades, and now welcomes guests again as a specialized flamenco venue. The theater's flagship resident show is "Pasión" (meaning "passion" in Spanish), with a duration of about one hour. Multiple dancers, singers, and guitarists perform together, with song, dance, and guitar alternately taking the spotlight: rapid footwork, crisp handclaps, and sweeping guitar strums intertwine, while the singer's voice ranges from low murmurs to soaring highs. The venue retains an intimate atmosphere for close-up viewing, allowing audiences to clearly see the dancers' expressions and intricate rhythmic footwork. Both first-time flamenco travelers and seasoned enthusiasts will find something to appreciate. Seville is widely regarded as one of the birthplaces of flamenco, and this art form listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage is best experienced live here. A few practical tips: The performance lineup rotates by date, so it's advisable to check which dancers and singers will be performing on the day before you set out. Seats are arranged on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early is recommended if you want to be closer to the stage. With a duration of around one hour, it's perfect for wrapping up your day's itinerary after exploring the old town.Spain · Seville

This museum visit was incredibly rewarding! I saw classic works by Picasso, Dali, and Miró, as well as masterpieces from many other outstanding artists. The exhibition areas were well-organized and the pace of the tour was comfortable. I managed to see a large number of famous paintings in a short amount of time. I highly recommend it to art lovers.

Really nice place overall. Good views and show inside as well. Don't book via Trip.com. It is OVER PRICED here. Book directly from the website to skip the line and enter. However if you get the ticket at the ticket office, you could get a physical ticket.

There are many places to watch flamenco in Seville, and I chose this one with the highest rating. It started at 7 pm and was completely sold out. VIPs got front-row seats, and you could even have a drink after the show – very nice! The performers were very professional. Photography was allowed for the first 5 minutes, after which you could fully immerse yourself in the performance. It was a great experience and well worth it!

Alfama, Lisbon’s oldest soul: winding streets, colorful tiles, historic charm, and soulful Fado echoing from hidden corners. 🇵🇹✨ A true Lisbon gem.
