It consists of an upper lake, a freshwater body with lush oasis vegetation, and a lower saltwater lake. The lakes are connected by small artificial waterfalls, creating a unique desert landscape. Visitors can walk along the lakeside trails to enjoy the scenic views of the lakes and mountains, as well as observe various birds and other wildlife.

▲ Wadi Hitan National Park (Wadi Al-Hitan): Located approximately 170 kilometers southwest of Cairo, Egypt's capital, deep in the Fayoum Desert, Wadi Hitan was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in July 2005. This area was once a vast ocean 40 million years ago, teeming with whales, hence its name. Today, it stands as a global fossil site showcasing whale evolution, containing abundant remains of ancient archaeocetes like Basilosaurus, which document the transition of whales from land to marine life. Additionally, Wadi Hitan features unique desert landscapes, with wind-eroded rocks forming striking shapes that complement the fossil views, creating a distinctive scene.
