Subway: Take Shanghai Metro Line 1 (towards Fujin Road), get off at Shanghai Circus World Station (Exit 3), and walk for about 3 minutes to reach the performance venue.
Taxi: Take a taxi to No. 2266 Gonghe New Road, Jing'an District, Shanghai, and get off in front of ERA Theatre.
3. Please note the method for collecting tickets.
On the day of the performance, we will send you an email containing the ERA performance admission QR code.
Upon arrival at the ERA Theatre entrance, please show your admission QR code to the staff. (Do not show the Trip.com QR code.)
For the 14:00 session, it is recommended to enter at 13:30.
For the 19:30 session, it is recommended to enter at 19:00.

Shanghai ERA - A Journey Through Time
The performance will tell the story of a beautiful encounter and a romantic love story in Shanghai. Through wonderful acrobatic performances, new technology and superb stage elements, and the fusion of diverse art forms, combined with Shanghai's history, culture and modern style, it will create a series of rich, colorful and vivid scenes to showcase the spirit of contemporary China and the soul of Shanghai.
Across time and space, you meet a person and fall in love with a city.
There is no dialogue, yet it speaks volumes. In the dim light, the city's inherent goodness and beauty are on full display, along with the magnificent transformation and resurgence of traditional Chinese acrobatic culture.
The current performance of ERA2 is an updated version of the same ERA show, incorporating stage design and content upgrades based on the original ERA. After the update, ERA2 will be performed daily.
<Era 2—Six Highlights>
Highlight 1: Messenger of Peace
The performance combining pigeons and female acrobats is a first both domestically and internationally, and the Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe's performers spent five years preparing for this act. The pigeons' graceful flight and the female acrobats' elegant movements in the air are combined. At its peak, up to seven pigeons danced with the female acrobats in the air, creating a romantic and beautiful spectacle that symbolizes peace and love.
Highlight 2: Light and graceful
The bar-jumping performance, which has won numerous awards at home and abroad, including the Golden Clown Award, known as the "Oscar of Acrobatics," involves performing flips and leaps on a narrow bar that is only about 20 centimeters wide at the toes, and then landing steadily back on the bar. The high-difficulty and thrilling moves are sure to get your heart racing.
Highlight 3: Extreme Youth
Combining extreme sports popular among young people, such as roller skating and BMX, with acrobatic stunts, the show features girls standing upright on bicycles as if walking on flat ground, boys leaping off their bicycles from the audience, and roller skating over cyclists, all accompanied by dazzling lights and music, fully igniting youthful energy.
Highlight 4: Immersive Experience
3D multimedia projection brings nature, street scenes, and dreamlike wonderlands to the stage. Stage machinery, capable of both ascending and descending, allows actors to appear before the audience from unexpected locations at any time. The high-tech stage design and performance are perfectly integrated, providing the audience with a truly immersive and unforgettable viewing experience.
Highlight 5: Rainbow Feather Robe
The costume design, a fusion of French fashion and Chinese classicism, brought more vibrancy to the stage. The opulent Rococo style was combined with flowing, traditional Chinese long skirts, the knotted buttons of a Chinese cheongsam paired with a French court-style corset, and a structured leather jacket adorned with Chinese dragon totem prints. The acrobatic stage can be stylish too.
Highlight 6: A Global Symphony
All the music is original and tailor-made for each program, ranging from trendy hip-hop and tango to romantic tunes.
