Reviews: Cultural Experience & Seasonal Māori Cuisine at Te Pā Tū

This experience was, hands down, one of the best cultural experiences we’ve ever enjoyed. The guides and performers were incredibly knowledgeable, and their interaction with guests was both engaging and fun. The performances — singing and dancing — were loud, proud, and full of energy, and it was clear how much they genuinely loved putting on a show for us. The hāngī and Māori food experience was exceptional: absolutely delicious with a generous variety, including duck, lamb, and wagyu beef. We also chose the paired non-alcoholic menu, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch. My only suggestion would be to have some background music while dining, but aside from that, the experience was faultless. A solid 10/10

Wowzer a not to miss! I have been to many national parks and nature preserves and this has to be up there in the top ten! A beautiful self-guided walk through the geothermal valley, surrounded by hotsprings, very cool vegetation and birds and all at your own pace, we took about three hours, you could do it in less or take the better part of the day. Absolutely stunning views and lots of birds to watch. We also took the boat trip at the end it was great and a better chance to see more geysers. Plus added benefit the Cap'n was great and had spent time piloting in Alaska waters so we had a good chat about that too. The walk is also easy for kids and even better when you are done there are buses that bring you back to the top/carpark so even good for us older folks and people with kids. :)

One was a really enjoyable experience. The two-part singing by the ladies was especially goosebump-inducing. The traditional Haka was also wonderful to see up close. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend it; it's like being in Jurassic Park. It's an amazing downhill walk, and then at the end, a bus picks you up and takes you to the cafeteria. You can grab a quick bite there; it's not too expensive and it's good.
