New York MoMA Exhibition: The Soul of Los Angeles
No Monet's Seine, but I have Route 66 in the West of the United States
The Museum of Modern Art in New York is exhibiting the solo exhibition of American painter Ed Ruscha, Now Then "Now and Then", which is a comprehensive retrospective of the artist's career. Ruscha was born in the western United States and lives and works in Los Angeles. He is now 85 years old. I still remember his exhibition Ed Ruscha and the Great American West that I saw in San Francisco in 2016. A few years later, I was able to see his exhibition in New York, the capital of art, which shows that he has received wider recognition.
Ruscha's works are diverse in style and distinctive in personality. What touched me most was his depiction of Los Angeles architecture. The plain, undecorated low-rise buildings in Los Angeles become poetic under his brush, and ordinary objects are endowed with soul. I really like his gas stations, with their pop style, simple lines and bright colors. The purely functional gas station in reality, which has nothing to do with beauty, can be so clean and beautiful.
This reminds me of another oil painting that I really like at MoMa, Edward Hopper's Gas (coincidentally, the two painters have the same name). I bought two postcards in the museum gift shop. They are both gas stations, but because of the different styles of the two painters, they bring completely different feelings
The Metropolitan Museum is one of the best museums in the world, the art collection is extremely rich, and it is a must-see attraction in New York. Unfortunately, when I went, the painting hall in Europe before the 18th century was not open.
Several paintings of Picasso and Van Gogh were in the MoMA of New York. Bought the ticket a few days before the trip at 18$S plus. Really worth the price with 5 floors of arts to explore. The toilets are clean as well. You can deposit your coat or bulky bags at the lobby with your mobile numbers (either foreign or local) for free and retrieve later with your last four digits as your passcode. You should keep your valuables with you. Just provide the QR code to enter and reenter the galleries.

The museum's sleek design and layout provide an immersive art experience, and its prime location in Midtown Manhattan is convenient for visitors. MoMA is a must-visit cultural hub that offers insight into the evolution of art in the 20th and 21st centuries.
Great efficiency, I went in immediately, I was very happy to see a good contemporary art exhibition, very rich, the ticket was delivered in time, no need to wait for moma, I got the ticket and bought something before I arrived.
Great museum to visit while in New York City! It’s located in the mid city, pretty and aesthetic space with lots of art pieces including the famous Starry Night art piece by Van Gogh! Absolutely worth a visit!
Each exhibition hall is very rich, and many great works are simply breathtaking. On the trip to New York, mama is definitely a must-recommend place! Tourists who like to watch the exhibition must leave enough time. I am tired, there is a restaurant to rest, and then I will watch 👍 after eating.
