Our tour guide, Cora, was very helpful and knowledgeable. The whole trip was not too rush, got to see lots of Pandas. Boat ride at Leshan Buddha was fun. It was a pleasant trip overall. Highly recommended !

Abby was a great tour guide and went above and beyond to ensure the trip was as much as possible customised to our needs. The was engaging and spoke English very well so we could ask here a lot of questions not only about the sights of the day but also about China and traveling the country in general. We not only had her but also a separate driver just for ourselves which we hadn't even realised when booking so definitely worth the money! We did the panda park first which essentially is a large zoo with only pandas rather than a range of animals. It's quite large and would be confusing by oneself so following Abby who knows the place in and out was definitely a bonus. It filled up with people very quickly so keep that in mind when deciding what time to leave in the morning if you want to get the chance to take some (many?) cute panda pics. We then went on to the Giant Buddha which was about 90 minutes drive away. This meant we saw a bit of more rural China on the way but also got quite tiring on the way back. While the pandas were definitely cute and are obviously a must see when in Chengdu, we liked the Buddha almost more. Just amazing how they built this into the mountain so many years ago and it felt like a bit off the beaten track, especially as a Western tourist. All in all, an amazing day trip and if you can afford it, we'd definitely recommend this private tour!

Reviews: All Inclusive Private Trip to Chengdu Giant Panda Base and Leshan Giant Buddha

We booked two private trips with Westchinago, both which were fantastic. Dujiangyan Panda Volunteering Experience (full day), and a Chengdu Giant Panda Base and Leshan Giant Buddha (full day). We were so lucky to have Lynn as our tour guide for both days. She was wonderful, giving us insights on what to expect for the tours, as well as the city of Chengdu. She was very helpful making suggestions for dinner and other sites we might want to visit during our stay in Chengdu. Prior to all this, as soon as we made the booking, Lily reached out. She explained what she deeded to book the tickets to the panda bases, and a little before the trip, reached out again to explain clearly what we should expect at the panda bases. Both days, we were picked up at our hotel on time. There were two of us, and we were in a comfortable vehicle with a driver, in addition to Lynn. On our way to Dujiangyan, Lynn found out it was my birthday, and she took it upon herself to surprise me with a birthday cake at one of the local tea houses! On top of that, she also informed my hotel! When I got back that evening, there was another birthday cake waiting for me in my room. Thank you so much! Both Lily and Lynn were fantastic in going above and beyond by doing this. The next day, we visited the Giant Panda Base, and Leshan Giant Buddha. Once again, after being picked up at the hotel, Lynn ran through the itinerary for the day. She kindly volunteered to take many pictures of us at the panda base, and was flexible with our time there. We stopped for a delicious lunch before proceeding to the Leshan Giant Buddha. Lynn told us where we should be on the boat for the best view of the buddha, and it did not disappoint. It was a long day (about 10 hours), and totally worth it! This company genuinely cared about ensuring our experience would be memorable. We were so happy with the communication, execution of the itinerary, and our wonderful tour guide, Lynn. We highly recommend this company, and will work with them again on future trips to China. Thank you!
