ā Take the cable car to the top (round trip Ā„720), and take a "reverse Fuji" composition from the viewpoint overlooking the sea.
ā Hidden spot: The west side of the observation deck at the top of the mountain offers a stunning view of the sandbar and the Aso Sea side-by-side!
2ļøā£ Walk barefoot on the "Natural White Sand Beach"
ā Take off your shoes and walk on 2km of pure white sand. The seawater washing over your ankles at high tide is incredibly soothing.
ā Rent a bicycle (Ā„500/hour) and chase seagulls along the sandbar, feeling the shape of the wind.

Traveling alone, I booked a day trip to Kyoto departing from Osaka. š Our guide, ViVi, was very friendly and attentive, providing excellent explanations in both Chinese and English. There was plenty of time for sightseeing, making it a very fulfilling day. I have wonderful memories of Kyoto. š The matcha ice cream š¦ was so delicious! š¤¤ā

The time was too short. We didn't arrive back in Osaka at the designated time (6:30 PM) as part of the program, and the driver and guide had already returned to Osaka at 5 PM! It was such a rush. We arrived at Kiyomizu-dera Temple at 12:35 PM and had to board the bus back to Osaka at 3:35 PM. We went to Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, then to Gion, leaving us no time to visit Kiyomizu-dera Temple (3 hours with meals included). We also visited nearby areas, leaving us no time to visit Kiyomizu-dera Temple. A half-hour extra would have been perfect.ī„
