Mount Rigi, the Queen of the Mountains, is a popular holiday destination even for the Swiss! Join us for a day of exploring Mount Rigi with various modes of transport! Take the aerial cable car, change to the cogwheel train, and reach the summit via Europe's first cogwheel railway. Enjoy panoramic views of the Central Swiss Alps surrounded by 13 lakes. Descend by cogwheel train to Vitznau station, then take a 1-hour boat ride to Lucerne. Explore the charming Old Town of Lucerne. In the evening, meet up with your guide and return to Zurich. The tour starts with a coach ride from Zurich, passing the Albis Pass and along the beautiful Lake of the Four Forest Cantons (Lake Lucerne) to the charming resort town of Weggis on the lakeshore. Take the cable car to Rigi Kaltbad, then change to Europe's first mountain railway, the cog railway, and ride to the summit of Mount Rigi (Rigi-Kulm, 1800 m above sea level). You will be amazed by the breathtaking panoramic views of the majestic mountain ranges, deep blue lakes and snow-capped Alps. There are various well-marked hiking trails on the mountain, as well as restaurants with mountain views serving delicious local specialties. In winter, you can rent a sledge and enjoy a thrilling ride down the valley.In the afternoon, take a cog railway down the mountain and transfer to a boat at Vitznau station. Enjoy a 1-hour cruise on the picturesque Lake Lucerne. Continue to Lucerne. You can stroll through the charming old town's medieval streets and visit the famous Chapel Bridge, Jesuit Church, and City Hall. You can also visit the Swiss Museum of Transport, the largest museum in Switzerland. Art lovers can visit the Rosengart Museum to see works by famous artists such as Picasso and Paul Klee.In the evening, you will meet up with your tour guide and return to Zurich.
