### Silfra Fissure Snorkeling Experience Silfra Fissure is located in Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once our Bus arrives there, you will receive a safety briefing from an experienced PADI certified Diving master. You will then be provided with all the necessary Snorkeling gear, including a neoprene hood and gloves, thermal underwear, a dry Diving and of course a mask, snorkel and fins. This gear will keep you afloat in the crevices and provide protection from the glacial cold water. Once in the water, your eyes will be greeted by the incredible shades of blue in the crevices, as well as the natural underwater vegetation of the canyon walls. While swimming you will have the opportunity to cross continents as you will be swimming between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, a famous feature of Thingvellir. You will see Silfra Hall, the very wide part of the fissure, and then the magnificent Silfra Cathedral, the very deep part. Even more amazing, you will then see the beautiful shallow oasis "the Real Blue Lagoon". At the end of the tour, your friendly Guide will invite you to warm up with a cup of hot chocolate. After the tour, you will receive free GoPro underwater photos to be emailed to you. ### Thingvellir National Park We visit the place where the two great plates, North America and Eurasia, are moving away from each other. Few places in the world offer such clear views of geological Activities. Iceland's very large natural lake is also located in Thingvellir National Park, with a rich fish and bird life. Thingvellir is also very important to Iceland's national history. Icelanders established a parliament here in 930 AD, and the chiefs held their annual meetings here every summer. "Thingvellir" means "parliament plain". ### Gullfoss Waterfall Meltwater from Iceland's second largest glacier, Langjökull, flows into a deep valley, forming the magnificent "Golden Falls". On a clear day, you can see Langjökull in the distance and admire a rainbow in the mist of the waterfall - a very nice photo op! ### Geysir Geothermal Area There are many colorful hot springs in the Geysir geothermal area. One of them, Strokkur, erupts every 5 minutes and reaches a height of 35 meters. Its name comes from "Geysir", the first erupting hot spring, from which all geysers are named, but it is no longer active. ### Return to Reykjavik We plan to return to the Reykjavik capital area at approximately 5:00 PM; however, the sequence of the itinerary and return time may change depending on weather and road conditions.
