Reviews: Amanohashidate & Ine Fishing Village Day Tour from Kyoto or Osaka
Guest User2026-04-21
We boarded the bus in Osaka. The guide arrived on time, but we arrived 30 minutes early, so we were a little worried about whether this was the right place. It was also raining. The guide was Chinese but spoke English and provided good service, but only gave us 30 minutes to explore the village of Ine. We went to buy some matcha, took a few photos, and then rushed back to the bus, but we were still 4 minutes late. We didn't get to see everything.

Because my trip to Kyoto was quite rushed, I really didn't want to go through the hassle of exploring on my own, so I booked a small day tour. Before visiting Amanohashidate, I was hesitant because the pictures looked rather ordinary. However, after our amazing tour leader, Sister Lingzhi, introduced us to many interesting little details, she patiently explained everything and paid attention to everyone's needs, even taking photos for us – she was like an angel! I've been on tours from other travel agencies before, and none of them included a guide. This trip truly deserves five stars! The driver was also very steady, and we were so lucky to avoid traffic on Saturday! I highly recommend this place! There's a beach, so remember to wade in the water! However, I think it would be much cooler in September or October.
Reviews: Kyoto Amanohashidate + Ine Funaya 1-Day Tour: Optional Amanohashidate Chairlift and Monorail + Ine Bay Cruise

A long journey, but absolutely worth it. The views from the top were spectacular, and the chairlift ride added a fun touch. Exploring Amanohashidate itself was a highlight—I rented a bike from a local shop, and it easily beat walking. I managed to ride almost to the end of the island, which made the experience even better. The boat ride was another memorable part, especially feeding the hawks and gulls along the way. Our guide, Jay, was engaging and genuinely fun, making the whole trip even more enjoyable. Really appreciate all the help—thank you!

This tour helps with transportation, as the cost of going on your own isn't much different from the tour price, and the tour guide can explain things, which is quite good. However, the timing isn't as flexible as going on your own! Make sure your tour includes cable car and boat ride. If not, you'll pay the tour guide 2200 yen on the bus, which isn't more expensive, but you can also choose not to pay and have fun on your own!
