It was difficult to find the office to pick up the tickets before entering Pompeii. We didn't use the audio devices since we didn't wish to walk 30 minutes back to the office to return them. Staff was very pleasant and offered a QR code for the audio instead. Glad we had that.

As long as you speak a little English, the overall experience is good. The volcano has a short time, and it is recommended to climb to the top.

We enjoyed visiting Pompeii; it takes almost a whole day to see everything. If we were to do it again, we wouldn't go to Herculaneum; we found the visit less interesting and parking is difficult.

The guide was very knowledgeable and provided a first class tour. He wore his expertise lightly by explaining everything in layman’s terms, but was able to elaborate in detail according to the interests and knowledge of his tour group. It was clear he wanted to share what he knew and was eager for others to pursue their understanding. He was able to recommend wider reading on a variety of related areas; therefore he clearly believed in what he was doing and the amazing archeological projects at Pompeii and Herculaneum. We are truly grateful and very appreciative for the guide and the tour.


