Reviews: Cu Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta Full Day Tour (Cu Chi – My Tho – Ben Tre)

We had a great day on this tour. We were picked up in Ho Chi Minh City and went by bus to see the Cu Chi tunnels from the Vietnam War. It was very interesting and informative, and the guide explained a lot. Walking inside the tunnels was amazing - very narrow and unforgettable. After that we had lunch, and it was a big surprise: a lot of food and everything was very tasty. Then we went to the Mekong River and had a nice boat ride, which was really fun. We also saw how coconut candies are made and visited a small honey farm. Our guide Luis was excellent. He was very friendly, helpful, answered all our questions, and clearly cared about making the tour enjoyable. We really appreciated his effort. Highly recommended!

We traveled in a mini-group of 12 people. A Vietnamese man named "Mikey" gave a good tour in English.
Reviews: Vung Tau One-Day Tour from Ho Chi Minh [English/Chinese Tour Guide + Jesus Mountain + White Palace + Beach Walk]

Our plan was a private car tour for 3-6 people, with Chinese speakers, including lunch. One to two days beforehand, someone would inform us of the day's precautions and confirm the meeting point and time. We chose to leave early at 7 am, and the driver was already waiting for us at the hotel entrance around 6 am 😂. We would reconfirm the destinations and itinerary. Since we were traveling on a Monday, the White House was closed to the public and instead became a church. We stopped at the church to use the restroom before heading to Vung Tau. Our first stop was Vung Tau beach, which was quite clean. The driver even helped us negotiate with local vendors to rent deck chairs and umbrellas; I remember three chairs cost 150,000 VND. The driver didn't rush us to leave; we could move on to the next attraction once we were done enjoying the sights. Lunch was a set meal at the hotel, which was quite good—clean, fresh, and our parents and elders enjoyed it. After lunch, we visited the Whale Temple, then stopped briefly before heading to Christ the Redeemer statue. Shorts, skirts, and sleeveless tops were not allowed, and we couldn't bring our own water... We just put it in our backpacks and drank directly from it; there was also a water dispenser inside. You can go up to the Christ the Redeemer statue, but you need to take off your shoes and leave your bags there, as it's very narrow and difficult to pass each other. After descending the mountain, we went to the opposite Cape of Good Hope. At low tide, you can walk to the small island opposite. Our itinerary was perfectly timed; we returned to Saigon city early, heading back around 3 PM and arriving at the hotel at 6 PM. Vung Tau's beach is incredibly beautiful; I highly recommend a visit to stroll along the coast and enjoy the view. The driver even suggested staying by the beach for a few days to fully appreciate the scenery.
