The JR Pass Sanyo & Sanin Area Rail Pass (7-day e-ticket) can be redeemed at the Shinkansen office counter. I initially went to the rail pass counter, but the staff told me to go to the Shinkansen counter instead. This pass is very useful. During this 7-day trip, I visited 3 locations: Fukuoka, Kokura, and Hiroshima. I took 4 Shinkansen trains: Hakata <-> Kokura/Hakata <-> Hiroshima, and the Miyajimaguchi ferry (the ferry to Itsukushima costs an extra 100 yen, the return trip is free) and unlimited JR rides in Hiroshima. It was really cost-effective. The only misconception is that the Kagoshima Main Line JR from Kokura to Moji Port is in the Kitakyushu region, and the Sanyo & Sanin Pass does not support this section of the JR. But the fact that the Shinkansen starts in Hakata and ends in Shin-Osaka is amazing.★

Although the price has increased again, it's still incredibly cost-effective; the 7-day Shinkansen and limited express train trip will recoup the cost. Exchange is convenient at Kansai Airport; use the green window to redeem designated seats. The JR Pass allows you to ride sleeper trains, but you'll need to pay extra for the limited express and berth.★

An unforgettable experience in Dar es Salaam with Dove Adventure!
I recently spent three days (January 23rd–25th, 2026) in Dar es Salaam, and the experience was top-notch, thanks to Dove Adventure.
I coordinated everything with Annastancia, who provided excellent service from start to finish. One of the highlights was their recommendation to visit Bagamoyo on the 24th—an extraordinary experience made even better by our guide there, Idrisa Mtoro. His knowledge and passion really brought the history to life.
I also want to give a special mention to Derick Mosa, our driver-guide for the entire three days. He was professional, reliable, and overall excellent.
I highly recommend this agency to anyone visiting Tanzania. Professional, well-organized, and truly memorable!★

This tour was a truly wonderful experience. The guide's explanations were thorough, and they even supported me during sand surfing, making it a safe and enjoyable experience even for a first-timer! Lunch is shared with everyone on the tour, so you might even make new friends. For lunch, you choose your own ingredients and sauces for a wrap, which makes it even more fun if you come with children or a partner. During snorkeling, dangerous areas and activities were announced beforehand, allowing for safe diving. However, on windy days, waves can pull towards the shipwreck, so a little caution might be needed. Overall, even as a solo traveler, it was a very satisfying experience and well worth the price.
