The Wine Experience was a very interesting exhibition - as a wine lover it was really cool to see the process of how wine is made and learn more about the history of winemaking in Portugal. The exhibition is high quality and was very quiet when I visited. The tasting at the end was very good (and tasty!).

During our stay in Porto, we wondered over to Gaia, took the gondola down and ended up in WOW, it did not disappoint! We purchased the daily pass and made the most use costing 5 museums over the afternoon. We saw Planet Cork, Wine Experience, the Chocolate Story, Pink Palace and the history of Porto! The staff throughout the whole place were very pleasant, answered all our questions. These are all self guided tours. Planet cork was amazing, didn't realize how much you could do with this. The wine experience tour was just as good so much info on wine. With a tasting at the end by Joao who was also great! The Chocolate Story was next and we had a great time enjoying chocolate from all the different stations and learning of its long history! again, the staff was awesome! The pink palace was really fun and definitely a instragram worthy opportunity at every turn! And finally the history of Porto! If you're looking for a great experience for wine, history and fun visit WOW!!

Wonderful day trip. We visited 2 different types of vineyards in the Douro Valley and a boat trip with Spumante in the middle. lovely views and the guides and drivers were great!

On the 35 minute ride to the buggies Carlos was having lots of fun discussing history of Portugal with my husband . After a brief instruction session with Tiago we jumped into our buggies and headed off on our journey thru villages and dirt tracks it was fun going over the ruts and rocks left by other trekkers we stopped at a 2500 year old Roman village and saw some beautiful views from the mt tops the entire journey lasted about 3 hours .. well worth the money

We had an AMAZING day tour of the Douro Valley with BL Heritage Tours on July 20. Our tour guide and driver José was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the drive time fly by with interesting conversation and information. We had 2 visits to small vineyards with personalized tours and very generous tastings with the winemaker of each vineyard, with tapas at the first and a delicious homemade multicourse lunch at the second. We rounded out the afternoon with a private boat tour on the Douro River with more local snacks and portotonicos. Interspersed with our drives were stops at incredibly beautiful vistas for photos. Everyone we interacted with on our day tour was knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to chat and answer questions, no matter how esoteric. And it was all in English, which was much appreciated since my Portuguese is very poor. We cannot recommend this tour enough - it was worth every penny, and tour company thought of everything. Thank you for an amazing day in the Douro!
