We leave Edinburgh and pass the iconic Forth Bridge into the ancient Kingdom of Fife, passing through Aberdour and continuing to the East Neuk of Fife. We stop in the small town of Anstruther, home to the Scottish Fisheries Museum, before passing through the villages of Pittenweem, Crail and St. Monans, once thriving fishing centres that thrived on trade with the mainland. We arrive in the beautiful medieval town of St. Andrews in time for Lunch. Here you can walk around the town, which is where Prince William met Kate, and is home to Scotland's oldest university, a famous cathedral, and a Golf course. Enjoy approximately three hours of free time to explore its medieval architecture and the wonderful cobbled streets of the center, and enjoy Lunch and a snack. On the way back we cross the Lomond hills to Falkland for a photo stop. The village was used as the setting for 1960s Inverness in the series Outlander. We then descend to Loch Leven (where Queen Mary was imprisoned and escaped) to the picturesque village of South Queensferry to enjoy our last stop before returning to Edinburgh.
