Reviews: Cu Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta Full Day Tour (Cu Chi – My Tho – Ben Tre)

We had a great day on this tour. We were picked up in Ho Chi Minh City and went by bus to see the Cu Chi tunnels from the Vietnam War. It was very interesting and informative, and the guide explained a lot. Walking inside the tunnels was amazing - very narrow and unforgettable. After that we had lunch, and it was a big surprise: a lot of food and everything was very tasty. Then we went to the Mekong River and had a nice boat ride, which was really fun. We also saw how coconut candies are made and visited a small honey farm. Our guide Luis was excellent. He was very friendly, helpful, answered all our questions, and clearly cared about making the tour enjoyable. We really appreciated his effort. Highly recommended!

We traveled in a mini-group of 12 people. A Vietnamese man named "Mikey" gave a good tour in English.

Our guide, Simon, diligently explained Vietnamese history and chatted with us during the initial drive; it was clear he was trying hard to promote Vietnamese culture. This itinerary was more focused on history and culture, and I initially thought it would be boring, but the guided tour of Cu Chi Paths and the scenery of Black Po Mountain were absolutely stunning! A must-see when visiting South Vietnam!

Our driver, Amin, was a Chinese-American who spoke excellent Mandarin. Our family of four had originally booked a small car, but they were unavailable for the day, so they assigned us a nine-seater luxury van. Honestly, this was far too luxurious for an average family trip. Secondly, visiting the Cu Chi area in Ho Chi Minh City is truly unique. It's both historically significant and very interesting. Many tour groups from various countries come here, mostly Europeans and Americans, to see why the West couldn't win the Vietnam War. It's also very entertaining. You can climb through the tunnels, eat cassava, visit underground meeting rooms, see underground war films, and even an underground medical station. Frankly, our Chinese tunnel warfare sites aren't as fun as this.

I believe all tour is basically same, cause the tour route at Cuchi tunnel is all same, I believe the difference is ride to destination and guide quality. The tour guide Daniel speak perfect English, and ride is quite comfy bus. Group was around 10 of us. The lunch is pay by your own at the local restaurants, where is nice and clean. Also we stop by craft shop for artifact, you don’t need to buy anything there those are nice for souvenir, little cheaper than shops in city central, i bought the nice tea cup.
