Reviews: Lisbon: Belém Walking Tour with Jerónimos Monastery Ticket

Our guide Joäo Lopes was the best of all tours in Lisbon. He is very knowledgeable and explains extremely well. Funny too. We learned more from him than other tour guides. If you enjoy history - he is the one. The entire tour is worthwhile! Monastery is beautiful. The church also. Discoveries monument is a must too.

I was on the 9:30am tour with Federico Saturday 3 Jan 2026. We met at 9:15am in front of Jeronimos Monastery. I was surprised that I was the only one on this tour and extremely thankful that the provider didn’t cancel it! We were the first ones to enter the monastery and Federico had already explained so much while we waited to enter. I am happy that I decided to join a tour as there is limited information when you are inside the monastery and it was great having someone explain everything. He has so much knowledge and is very passionate about all the places we visited (Church of Saint Mary, Monument of Discoveries and Belem Tower). Of course, I also got to taste the Pastel de Belem! I highly recommend this tour to all who want to learn more about Belem! Thank you Federico 🫶🏻

Rica did an amazing job in our tour. She was very knowledgeable in the history of Portugal and how all the places we toured fit in. She wove the symbolism of the cross, ropes, shield, ships, and navigation throughout the whole tour. We are the type to ask a lot of questions and she knew 99% of the answers. I was impressed. She did a great job and I would recommend her highly.
