This activity does not provide transfer service. Please arrive at the RealNZ Visitor Centre in Te Anau 20 minutes before your departure time slot to check in and collect your tickets. Address: RealNZ Visitor Centre, 85 Lakefront Drive, Te Anau.
You can bring non-slip shoes/boots, a waterproof jacket, warm sweaters/wool jackets (the cave is always cold at 8–12°C), sunscreen/sunglasses, insect repellent, a camera, and personal medications (including asthma and allergy meds).
After disembarking, everyone will be divided into small groups of 12 people to experience each activity separately.
You will need to bend down at the cave entrance and walk a short distance inside with some steps. This activity is not suitable for wheelchair users or those unable to bend down.
Due to the uneven paths inside the cave requiring full attention while walking, this tour is not suitable for carrying infants into the cave. If you are traveling with an infant, we recommend having another adult in your group. One adult can stay with the infant at the cave house while the other explores the cave, then switch roles.
Photography and videography are not allowed inside the cave.
Enjoy the fireflies in silence while on the boat.
The cave maintains a year-round temperature of 8–12°C, so please bring warm clothing.
There are some bends and steps at the cave entrance.
