Reviews: Day Tour from Paris, France to Loire Valley (Chambord Castle + Admission Ticket + Wine Tasting)
Guest User2025-07-29
A day trip to three castles was indeed a rushed affair, but with limited time, it was better than nothing. Each castle could actually be explored for three hours, so the one hour or one hour and forty minutes we spent there wasn't enough time for even a proper visit, let alone a meal at the castle restaurant. There were also long queues for sandwiches and coffee, so it was best to bring your own food and drinks for the day trip. Our small group of eight traveled in a nine-seater vehicle (including the driver). Our group consisted of three Mozambicans, two Americans, one Spaniard, and the two of us Chinese. The French driver's English was sufficient for basic communication, such as where to meet and how long to stay at each site. The driver was very friendly. Near the end of the trip, the Spanish girl suggested we all give the driver a tip. We each gave 10 euros. The weather was beautiful that day, and each castle was picturesque and well worth the visit!

It was great. All three castles were worth seeing, especially the double staircase at Chambord Castle, which was quite interesting. The audio guide was easy to use and understand. We had enough time; it wasn't rushed. Overall, I'm satisfied.
