The day trip was very well organized. The driver was skilled in city traffic, on the motorway, and on country roads. During the walking tour of Erice, explanations were given, and the tasting of the famous "dolce" (sweet pastries) with a stop was well-timed. The stop at the saltworks between Trapani and Marsala was also well-timed. Lunch was at a winery with an explanation of what is grown where, not only in the Marsala plain but also up in the mountains, so there was also a tasting of various wines.

The five wines were well explained and poured properly. The food was excellent and plentiful. The group was fun and diverse. A wonderful evening.
