Reviews: Budapest: Széchenyi Spa Day Ticket with Optional Upgrades

We arrived late afternoon and left early evening, going from day light to dark sky made the experience even more enjoyable. We booked for the cabin too which was so good! No bagging up clothes to take to a small locker. The thermal pools were great, and not too busy. We explored most of the interior areas too but did enjoy the outdoor areas best. We did our research and knew to take flip flops and a towel…. These are essential!

The cruise part of the trip was cancelled due to floods so was offered a meal and music at the Gastro Cellar. Can honestly say we lucked out. The spa was amazing capped off with great music and food. The Gastro cellar is a must. Waiters and musicians were attentive and food was exceptional. Can't rate it highly enough.

Esteban, our guide, was fantastic. He had an exceptional command of Hungarian history and the places we visited. We loved the tour.
Reviews: Szentendre Daytrip (Artists' Village) small group

Going to Szentendre on the train was a bit of a surprise, but it was the right way to get there. Rudy explained the history of Budapest and the different districts as we passed through them. Szentendre itself is mostly a step back in time. The streets, houses and small squares make it a beautiful place to visit. Make sure you go down by the river too. Rudy explained all about the town, the history of the different churches, and took us places we would never have found. Well worth having that knowledge guiding us round. All the shops are aimed at tourists, and there are many, but it is not pushed at you. No-one is trying to drag you into their store, it is all very nice and laid back, so nice and relaxed to walk around. We tried Lagos, which was lovely, and is part of the trip. This is worth your time, and fun to travel on the train.
