Our guide, Tory was amazing. Besides being so sweet, she was extremely knowledgable on Hawaiian culture, agriculture and volcanology. She made sure we were comfortable and she knew exactly where to take us to see the volcano which was erupting while we were there. I loved the fact that on this tour, you were able to see the island and volcano during the day and at night.★

Although I was worried about the weather, I was able to enjoy the sunset above the clouds from the summit and the starry sky from a little way down. The guide was very attentive and polite. However, although he said he would speak slowly, his English was too fast and I couldn't fully communicate, which was disappointing. I also felt it was important to study basic constellations before participating.
