The grounds themselves are enormous. We visited on January 1st, 2026. It was cold, and the park seemed to be in a state of suspended animation. Nevertheless, it was fascinating, and we're considering coming back to see the entire garden. This ticket includes two entrances. You don't see them at first glance: Sanssouci Palace up on the hill and the New Palace. The smaller palace on the hill is beautiful and can be visited with an audio guide. It's interesting. One thing that could be improved is if the staff ensured quieter conditions so that visitors could actually hear the information being played. What was definitely great was the guided tour of the lower, much larger palace. The friendly guide was particularly entertaining. My conclusion? Definitely go and plan at least a full day for it.

I booked the tour for a later date by mistake and actually showed up the day prior. I was still allowed to swap at the last minute and included as it was my last day in Germany. I am grateful for the professionalism and flexibility from the tour operator. Also the tour guide was kind enough to translate for me as I was the only non German speaking attendee in the group. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.
